Great trip report. I especially like the narrative description which gives a real sense of the journey. Most trip reports are 90% photos only.

The primary advantage in my opinion is the ability to carry cargo on top of the J30, items such as bikes, kayaks and other medium weight loads. And unless you need the extra space of the Habitat why take on the weight penalty especially given its placement at the very top of the vehicle.
