Thanks... I appreciate the kind words. The only think I can think of is that I wouldn't have gotten the "smooth sides" option, as in no rivets, only glue holding the exterior skin in place. In the end, they screwed that up pretty badly and it took a lot of phone calls and time on my end to fix...
Awesome idea to put it under the overhang of the FWC. I have a shop down this way in DE that will custom build an alum. or stainless box to fit anything you want. Their normal business is building electrical control boxes and houses, but they've started doing personal stuff and powder coating...
That is Awesome! Looks like a fun time. Have you by chance been on Ophir Pass? I'm looking to see if I could get my FWC equiped rig through there without scaring me too much.

Got some time this father's day to finish up most of the kitchen area, at least as far as I'll be taking the cabinets until fall probably. I still want to do a better job on the doors, and put drawer fronts on that match, but that can be later. I may even end up ordering those from an online...
One thought about the fridge size... If you get the smaller one, I think it normally gives you some additional storage. In our case (Flatbed Hawk), it gives a nice drawer under it that we wanted more than the extra fridge space. We will also have a 2nd fridge in the truck though, so that made...
My thoughts as a recent purchaser:
I would do the Solar... At least the roof panel. Very nice to be able to run the fridge indefinitely and not have to worry about the battery if you have sun.
Conversely, I only did one battery. Cheaper to buy the second later yourself i you find you need...
Yes, the axle was mounted spring over on the stock leaf springs. This alone gave enough lift to fit the 35" tires. Stock from the trailer builder, it had a 2" drop axle on it, and was spring under. So the straight axle under the springs netted about a 4" lift. Because the trailer is...
David,
Looks like your axle is 6 on 5.5 bolt pattern. That is a stock size pattern for Dexter axles, so the swap out would be easy and just require about 15 minutes per side.

Hi David,
The bottom of the camper is basically about 2.5' off the ground. This gives a lot of ground clearance which is important with a trailer going off road. The bars sticking out on the rear are only about 2.5-3" off the main body. Their 1/4" steel, so I'd be more worried about...
Just a small update from this weekend. I FINALLY got the aluminum bed fixed so that the wheel wells were centered on the axle. Many thanks to Main Line Overland for their continued help in getting the company to fix it, and even offering to help with the costs. It's a shame really, you can...
I'll be there with mine... Everything is always for sale right? Mostly kidding, but I know that Mid-Atlantic Overland, the main sponsor of the event, will have a few of their units on display, of which some are used and they are for sale.

haha... Sounds like you've got the bug... And if not this one, will have one soon. :bike_rider:
As far as the lug pattern, If you tell me the specific truck you have, I can find out. I don't know much about the specifications of Chevy's. As far as the change, it would either be a new brake...
I had thought I gave you those measurements, but looking back, it seems I dropped the ball. Sorry about that. There is exactly 32" between the two sides. I was thinking about how easily that could be expanded, and unfortuantely, it wouldn't be very easy, and most of the wood structure would...
Had time today to put the kitchen in the trailer. I still need to make the drawers and drawer fronts/doors, but that should be able to get done this week now that I have a little more space in the garage with the main unit moved and installed. Pics:
