Yeah like Plumbermike said they are the only choice in the market and they do make a pretty solid product, the kit is super beefy and seems well-engineered. I saw someone suggest before that maybe they do it to try to keep the diy’ers from attempting to install it themselves so it’s left...
My truck is almost ready for some real world flex testing man, I don't have a forklift so I'm gonna do it the old fashioned way and go hit some rocks. You're welcome to join!
Finally getting around to mounting tires and buttoning up rear suspension. Like all others have said, instructions for the Kelderman 4-link kit are pretty rough. Be prepared to figure a lot out on your own via trial and error. Some of the instructions aren't only vague they are just entirely...
Hey nice man, sounds like a good plan. If you’re gonna do any off-highway stuff I’d definitely recommend the super singles. I wouldn’t like to be wheeling in a dually lol. Post up a thread when you start on the build.
Hey man, appreciate it. I wasn't aware of the injector pump issues, thanks for the heads up. To be honest I know little to nothing about Ram trucks or Cummins engines. Always been a Ford guy but made a last minute decision to try the Ram this time. According to that article it looks like they...
Awesome, makes sense. This was exactly what I was gonna do just wasn’t aware of the resistor trick, thanks for the info man. In the past I’ve just made dummy plugs with jumper wires and that was enough but vehicles are getting too complicated now haha
Small update since more parts arrived. The usual suspects, Kelderman rear 4-link air setup. The pictures never do this setup justice, ridiculously beefy, you'd think you were building an earthmover or something. Most of the steel is .500". Got it all laid out to get installed this weekend.
Just noticed this post man, I haven't messed with anything yet really. Was planning to replace them with something from BD but yeah gonna be an issue if they turn on with the blinker. I may do something like a jumper to make the truck think the factory fogs are still there and just tap the BDs...
Yeah 4.89. Wished they offered an extended cab version man, I would have gone for that. I need to be able to carry a passenger or 2 on occasion but crew cab is a little bigger than ideal for me. I think it will turn out ok though, I don't plan on doing any super tight trails in this thing. When...
Thanks man!
I'll just post my order sheet, it's easier lol. The features I wanted most were cooled seats, 12" nav screen, but vinyl floors. Obviously not a combo they keep on the lot. Actually ended up being much cheaper to order in the long run.
Have to disagree on the wheels tho, I spent a...
Thanks man, luckily a couple other builds going on got me spun up on the basics of building on the Ram platform which was super helpful. I won't be able to have a garage on my expo truck build sadly, I just plan on towing my small aluminum trailer along when I want to bring toys. That setup...
Honestly never been a fan of Ram and didn't even consider it at first. After I found camperthing's videos on youtube I went to the Ram dealer and drove one, checked out the interior. Was impressed by the interior and the build quality. I have read more repairs can be done on the Cummins without...
I debated on fender flares for a while but I've always liked the look of the AEV Highmark flares the most. They've been out of stock for ages but I pestered them on the phone a few times and somehow they were able to get me a set about a month ahead of schedule. Top notch service there. The...
Since I already have a couple of parts on deck, I'll post the first update. I ordered my wheels the day after I ordered my truck, back in September. They showed up the day before my truck.
They are Hutchinson Industries DOT-approved double beadlocks in 20x11. They are insanely overbuilt and...
