    Wandering in CA

California is HUGE After 30 years of living in CA, it still surprises me how big this state is. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but not. I live in the San Bernardino National Forest, in the mountains ~100 miles east of LA. Within a couple hours I can be deep in the desert or kicking it...

    Wandering in CA

I really like Haggis' idea of sharing the wonders in your backyard for others to enjoy as they pass through. I get out quite a bit but I'm not great at sharing my trips. Seems like trip reports are somewhat organized, this definitely doesn't characterize my trips! I usually set off with a...

    Flippac Hinge Headache....

Really sorry to hear this, esp. sucks about your plans. Where are you located? I'm lucky because FRP is near me, and have always taken care of my problems without charge or questions. They definitely have their problems in supporting this product.

The CrowsWing - Offroad Teardrop Trailer

OK now I get the snoamholes. Maybe I should've asked what the snoam-rectangles (9) and triangles (2) on the entry side are about? Is it for weight? Love the lighting! Gonna be nice and cozy in there. BTW your batteries are wired in parallel, not series. Not that it matters (my EE is...

Nothing to do with navigating … interactive wind map shows flow patterns.

A very cool map, and beautiful to boot. Interactive map here From the article here “The most impressive bit is that, despite all of the animation, it's interactive. Roll over flows for wind speed and direction as well as zoom (with a double click) and pan to your area of interest”

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

Herbie - wow! Looking awesome, and love the aerial shot. Was that with your kite-camera thing? It's been a long time since I posted here too, and there's a new kid on the block. Needs love, which it's getting - but needs MORE love.

A little Africa in there - Kgalagadi Desert I

There's just nothing like hanging out with animals in the wild. All senses on alert! Your photos capture this wonderfully. That's as good a steenbok shot as I've ever seen. Thanks :)

Not Expo, but my new van.

Looks like a great start and a solid plan taking it to Derek. I've been impressed with all the Safari Condos I've seen. Hope this works out well for you! BTW it's Expo IMO if you take it out and use it, and it's pretty clear that you do that. Good luck :)
