The website says max tire size for the bolt on portals is 35"... I would rather swap Volvo portals in at that point.

I completely agree with this. Shop condition more than mileage. I bought my 2000 LX470 with 113k. I am now at 161k and think that maybe I should do some maintenance other than oil changes. LOL! This is by far the best vehicle I have ever owned, and that is saying a lot.

I worked on my 40 a bit... Finally got the 350 off the stand and mated up to the SM465/203/3-spd T-Case. This is one long, heavy combo!

Good looking 100! You are going to love it for sure. My one advice is to get used to the ATRAC system before you are on a trail. It is a little counter-intuitive if you are used to wheeling an 80 with two feet...

I would run Ironman. The products are just as good as ARB, better priced, and local (for you). That seems like a no brainer!

You need to talk to Benc! He did exactly what you are describing. IMO, the 100-Series Land Cruiser is one of the most dependable Toyotas built.
