You can a buy a 2007 or a 2008 Sprinter with the V6 OM642 diesel engine and then remove the DPF. There are tuners out there that have deletes. The OM642 is a great engine and should provides years of reliable service.

Dont get much more old school than a 300 sd. Night and day comparison. If you haven’t driven a modern diesel engine I would suggest going for a test drive.

I concur totally..there is no need for the 3.0 Diesel....my GLE300 D has a 4 cylinder 2.1L Diesel 201hp/369 torque and it gets 30mpg driving at 80mph. It handles the weight of the GLE350 fine 5,000lbs. I have towed a 2000# trailer from MI to SC with no issues. It is not a rocket ship but...

buy a new radiator cap...they do go bad.
