I was also under the impression that $125k was the fully optioned price for the X145 like they had at the expo. I've been one of the naysayers and if $125k is the bottom end starting price for the X145 then they are smoking more crack than I thought they were.

I've seen you in the Kimberley thread so you are aware of the legit trail some owners have taken the Karavan on. I think it comes down to how much pucker the driver can handle. Lol!

goodol, I have always been a fan of the Karavan. I think it is a great Swiss Army Knife. It is probably the trailer that has consistently stayed highest on my list. I believe it has unique value and capability with the hi-lo design, fixed full-size north/south queen bed, swing out toilet/shower...
Also my apologies to the OP. If anything they are getting a lot to think about to make their decision.
Obsessed2find pretty much covered my rebuttal to the exotic European sports car analogy ROA keeps trying to spin. I'll also add that when talking about exotic Euro sports cars to run of the...
Even the 170 models in my opinion are getting too big for serious trail duty. Combine that with a full-size truck towing it and getting too crazy doesn't seem realistic. I just want to be able to get a little deeper off the regularly beaten path without it falling apart. I can then setup a base...
With the recent crushing blow of the latest US off-road trailers being well out of my comfortable price range, I'm revisiting people's thoughts on the construction and "value" of the Ember trailers. Value is more with respect to what you are getting at the extreme prices of the high end models...
DFNDER, you make a fair point but there is video and pictures out there of people taking some of these rigs on some legit stuff. I've seen the Kimberley Karavan on some solid off-road trail. I think a lot of these are getting absurdly large for any off-road beyond dirt roads but that is going to...
This is absurd! I'm very disappointed! They look like great trailers finally made in the USA and they basically built/priced them with a big middle finger to most Americans. I make great money but I'd have take out a damn mortgage for these things. I don't even have kids to pay for. These have...
Yep. I agree. An Ember is not what I really want. Currently exactly what I want doesn't quite exist and the closest offerings are apparently no less than $100k to have it behind my truck. I would like a mix of the Kimberley Karavan and/or E3 Kruiser, the X145/X195/Roamer X/Roamer 1.
Key items...
Have you looked at the Ember trailers. I have not seen one in person but have done as much research as I can online. I've been on a long hunt for an off-road trailer that meets a lot of wants but doesn't cost the absurd prices we are seeing. I'm not saying the Embers are cheap and they are not...
For some reason I thought they were using Timbren. I agree though, they were obviously going for a more off-road line compared to their other offerings so why not really differentiate the model line and go all in? They also used the same electric tongue jack that I know from experience doesn't...
Here's a new offering that just got announced. They didn't quite hit the mark I was hoping for but they could work many others. I rented an Intech Sol Horizon for a few days and it did seem like a solidly built trailer that didn't really feel cheap or flimsy anywhere...
I did. He said something about HAT working with a national dealer for the XT105 so he had limited info. He was requesting the info I asked for that he would pass along to me or give them my info to respond directly.

I contacted HAT looking for a floorplan and pictures of the XT105. I'm very interested but there is very little info available. Can you provide more info?

Was just wondering because they don't appear to change that much over the years. Kind of thought the air suspension would be mostly bolt on since they sell both configurations.
Message me about what year yours is and how much you are thinking of asking. What is the condition?

RVs of America (ROA) just posted a brief walkthrough video of an E3 Kruiser. I'm very interested in that one or the Karavan. Would like to see both in person.
