That sums it up perfectly... the reason the decision is a month away is that some financial inputs will shape up by then! I think the F250 would most likely be a KR, PW would be with the fancy leather. Did you ge the vinyl or carpeted floor in each of your trucks?
Thanks Tex!
The truck choice is a tough one. Father-in-law is a Ford retiree, so the discount on the F250 is nice. I'm mixed on all the tech in an F250... it's cool, but not necessary and lots more thing to go wrong. Still, since we'll always spend more time on-highway than off it, the...
I’m about a month out from decision F250 vs. Power Wagon for DD/Weekend Warrior rig. Wifey has dictated that it gets a Baroud XXL hardshell - which is 89” long. The Power Wagon bed is 76” long and F250 is 81” long.
I don’t really like the look of the RTT hanging off the back of the truck...

Next summer is new truck time for me - still pretty open on which way to go - leading contenders are Raptor, F250, Power Wagon. I tried to build a 2018 Power Wagon online this AM - no option for ramboxes in the configurator. Hopefully this is just a SNAFU and it is still an...
Awesome photos and great build. I'm totally stealing the chain tie-down idea - simple and functional.
How are you carrying your spare tire? I don't think I see it under the bed, didn't see it in the bed.
On Cfans forum, one of the guys says he talked to AEV at SEMA and they basically said it's a show truck and the 35s are not functional due to clearance issues. 33s were what they raced with, so that's probably the practical limit without really going nuts.
Outstanding! I'm considering doing something similar with my 2017. Can you share details on lift/tires?
I'm torn on approach to bed rack for RTT. The Leightner is awesome - but I've always had a bed cover and often have stuff in the back that I've found useful to have covered/locked.
