I’d consider a multi mount. Get a front receiver and keep the winch out of the weather when not needed, and use it front or rear.

That’s exactly why I suggested the Firestone and Daystar option. If you’re hauling heavy, you likely don’t often need maximum articulation at that time. I believe you can get Sumos or Timbrens in a two stage type that might mitigate the bounce that mine have when in the “un-sweet spot”.

I’ll have a look. I didn’t know Dobinson did bumpers. Edit: The Dobinson looks almost identical to the ARB, but after shipping is actually $100 more than the ARB. I guess it will come down to availability if I go that route.

Got my dealer to do a quote on the bumper parts I will need so I can start prepping the insurance company for a rep bumper. Before labor and paint, I’m at $3001.59 so I figure it’s got to be $4,000 all done. ARB is $2,300 from some sources, so I’m optimistic.

No, they are definitely not the same. ARB is still, and always has been my preference, but I’m looking to see what other options there are.

If you can weld, they are great value too. As much as I want an ARB, I’m betting it will prove difficult to get one.
