Make a pop top for the mid roof transit. Roof down, and it's tall enough for when it's needed to stealth camp. Roof up and it's open and airy in the boondocks.
High roof transits are just too tall, and only available in the long wheelbase model--sucks for offroading.
I was looking at ford transit because of the ecoboost 3.5 liter engine. I just learned that ford doesn't offer this engine in the transit cutaway.
I'm currently fulltiming in a 2010 e250 class b with 5.4. I was leaning to the transit for a more modern setup as ford is abandoning the e series...
Looking for rig like the one in the pics. These are from Germany.
Need a gasser, don't want ulsd drama in South America.
I'd also like to avoid GXV premium price!
I'm in love with the V4. If you were to sell, what would you accept for it?
If you'd never part with her, how much would you charge me me to duplicate that setup if I provided you a cutaway v10?
Interesting!
For the rear slide out as referenced in the options page, you're talking about the flip down tent-style bed or a true slide out?
I'd like to see what the flatbed looks like and how it compares to xp camper's.
With such a massive rig, I think the fuel savings a more aerodynamic configuration would gain will be negligible. At least not enough to warrant compromising the ease of roof and rear mounting options (solar panels, bikes, etc).
Can't wait to see the changes to the deconstructed rig.
I can't answer your question as I've never been to Europe, but I know that earthcruiser specifically stayed below 22ft long for some park restrictions.
Curious for the true answer!
