The 4600 shock listed is the stock shock for a 3/4 or 1t van. The 5100 is for a lifted Tahoe. The valving will be lighter with the 5100 so it depends on how heavy your build will be which is better.
So my original fantastic fan started to show some wear and was replaced by a maxx fan this go round.
But as far as rear window mount.
I don't feel it loses any privacy. But I do have a tinted glass rear window on the other door.
There has been no weather/rain/snow issues unless driving with...
I pulled the skyjacker part # from one of the early lift discussion threads here. I believe user name is @zuren if you search his posts you should find more info
Last update 2018! Whoa!!!!
Well there's a reason for that I guess. Spring of 2018 we sold our previous home. Which of course means I lost 100's of hours, 1000's of dollars and worst of all my shop space......
Later that year we built a new home but as of yet I have not built a new shop. So...
As someone who drives a standard GM van pretty much every day (work van or personal van) I have had nothing like the experience you describe.
Must be a flaw with the cab/chassis combo.
And I can't understand why any one who likes vans would want there to be less options on the market. More...
Did you also increase tire size when you lifted your van?
My van took I think about a 2mpg hit after being lifted. But I also switched to a larger load range E all terrain tire which I assume had a larger affect on mpg's than just the lift.
More surprising to me was I found very little if any...
The only true test will be that of time and mileage. Until there are a handful of lifted vans with a bunch of miles on them out in the wild no one will really know how this AWD is going to hold up.
If you want to be a early adopter you are going to need to be comfortable with some risk of the...
My van with key's in front and those springs in back is a little lower in back than the front. I think a 1" block would bring it back to level. But my van is definitely heavy. I haven't weighed it empty but on our last month long outing fully loaded I was over GVW.
My gut says you would be fine...
Not much help but my 2010 AWD has 3.73 gears stock.
So you should be able to go the junkyard route and buy complete axles rather then regearing yours if that makes any difference to you.
Car-part.com shows a few front axle assemblies available.
This.
The quick answers to some of your questions
I don't believe so, at least not without some rubbing at full lock.
No drivetrain issues yet with my van. Probably close to 80k on it since the lift
Soak them early and often with a quality penetrant. Kano Kroil, PB blaster or ATF/Acetone mix...
Totally agree that the HD thing is overplayed and lame. However 2004 is the year Ford released the HD superduty F250/350. So historically as a show piece it makes sense. 15 years later not so cool anymore, but that could be said of most 15 year old SEMA show vehicles.
