Qooper's Tundra to Flippac’d Tacoma Build Thread.

I actually like the look of these trucks with a slight rake.. Also, same airbag setup. But, I have a lot of added weight. Never had any issues, but I don't usually do anything extreme.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

Huh.. Yeah I’m not so sure about these aluminum radiators now. I was looking at either a Champion or Liland but I think they are likely the same rebranded imports. Maybe I’ll just get an OEM Toyota one. Looks like even the Denso version is from China now.

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I noticed way back that my radiator rubs against the inside of the hood, especially the cap. I had to keep the hood bumpers adjusted a bit high to prevent it. I've been looking into an all aluminum radiator and got to thinking maybe someone installed the double cab radiator in my access cab. I...

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

That was a random picture I found. On the Tundra, only the top two leaves were supported. I think it was my air bags holding all the weight.

The lift arms were placed below the leaf springs between the front of the tire and spring hangers. Wish I could have taken a picture. Edit: Looked like this. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

    Trailscape's 06 Tundra

I was having a new shop look at my truck today. They were showing me some things underneath when I saw they had raised the truck by the leaf springs... Has anyone seen that before? The cringe factor was high.

$200 5KW Portable Diesel Air Heater

I was looking at the Planar or Espar versions and saw some lingo along the lines of "High Altitude rated for up to 8k". Had me wondering..

$200 5KW Portable Diesel Air Heater

Anyone try one of these above 8k feet? Some of my favorite places I'd use a heater are at an altitude of 10k or more.

    Snow Peak Addiction

I've used the Kovea LPG adapter for the disposable Coleman bottles for years. There are cheaper options, but I think Kovea makes some good stuff and I'd be wary when it involves propane. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CFPISZW/

I miss that eerie silence during a snowstorm in the mountains. Sit outside with a hot cup of tea or cocoa. :)

Haha.. Yeah, it's starting to look a bit dismal outside. I never had luck making it to those slot canyons. I think the last time I tried the area was flooded.

Wireless charger mod. It's not the prettiest thing, but it works great. I used a cheap charger purchased from Amazon for the parts. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07J5SN4NZ The coil was first separated from the circuit board and attached to the front. I drilled two small holes to run...

    2004 Tundra Adventure Cab - Build/Adventure Thread

Been thinking of picking one of those heaters up myself. You used it in 40 temps though, lol.. I don't usually use a heater until it's below freezing. Keeping my tent or the back of the truck between 50-60 in temps below 30, makes me a happy camper.

Sold: Rigid D-Series Pro High/Low Amber Diffused

Mostly due to the pattern and they would be terrible fog lights. There's little use for this light in a forward application. A good fog beam projects low with the intent of not illuminating the fog itself. These work best mounted up high to cover an area around the vehicle. They probably...

Lights are sold. Thank you. I decided not to use these lights and I'll make someone a deal on them. I only opened the box and briefly bench tested them. Includes two lights, hardware and wiring harness, original packaging. Located in the Denver area if you'd like to pick up. Say $180 shipped...
