Post Pics of your FWC with Lifted Trucks

I got lucky. It was advertised as a Finch, but I knew it was a Falcon. The seller made a mistake and didn't know the model. Found a link to the CL posting on Wander the West. He had 8 responses in the first 16 hours. I left after work, from the Bay Area, and drove to Truckee that night to...

This one would work with a swingout bumper. It's about 2" too long to fit the tailgate, but it doesn't stick out further than the tail lights. A swingout is my plan for the not too distant future. The Falcons are not common though. 10" shorter than the Finch. As NikonRon mentioned, you...

Nice setup! I spy a splitboard... Did you rip an old snowboard or buy it that way? Going to start my girl on skis and setup my old board for training/ future backcountry riding. Haven't put on hard boots in 28 years since I made the switch. Not planning on going back.

Thanks! My progression was different: ground tent > 4WC on Scout > sleeping platform in 4Runner > ground tent > camper shell extension tent > Flippac > 4WC. Although I've never had one, RTT's are appealing. Quick deployment, elevated sleeping, instant awning... You have a great setup!

Think those are 255/85/16 Cooper Discoverer ST's. Same as mine: Just picked up this Falcon on Saturday.

    SOLD: Flippac for DCSB Tacoma

Thanks for the info. Do you usually do a lot of freeway driving? Manual or AT? I'm worried about the freeway RPM's with lower gears since the MT overdrive is lower than the AT overdrive. It would be undoubtedly better off- road. I often find myself in 4th or 5th in 4LO, just so I don't have...

    SOLD: Flippac for DCSB Tacoma

Thanks! The interior was a mock-up that we ended up using. It worked out well. Found a great deal on a FWC Falcon. Otherwise, I would be keeping it.

    SOLD: Flippac for DCSB Tacoma

The 4 door is fine for the family. It's a little tight for my wife because the little one is still rear facing. As soon as she turns around, we'll be fine. Dad's escape pod is definitely a possibility! Plenty of room. The flatbed would be great, but you're probably looking at $30K. Buy...

    SOLD: Flippac for DCSB Tacoma

Thanks! I tried to price it reasonably for a quick sale. From the description in your signature, we have similar builds. How did the mileage change with the 4.56's? Debating doing that in the next few years.

SOLD- Flippac for Double Cab Short Bed Tacoma - Bay Area

Probably not. This is for the 5' bed Tacoma and I think the Comanche has a 6' bed. Maybe Martyn at AT Overland would know what other Flippacs would fit yours. He has a really nice Comanche with a Flippac.

    Overland-ish Tacoma Flippac Build

Thanks! It is in great condition. These items are rare and don't come up for sale that often, so hopefully it will go fast. My cabinets work, but are no comparison to what you guys are producing.

    flippac waterproofing

Forget the rainfly, how about a Nemo replacement tent! The SLO Sail rainfly is great, but you probably know from 1st hand experience how much easier the single tent setup is. If you're camping in multiple locations during wet weather, putting away a wet rainfly, then setting it up again the...

Post your Flip pac Torsion bar failure or success

Wow. Broke already? Mine did after 5 months with minimal use. We've used it about 60 - 75 times in the last 2.5 years with no issues, so there's some hope.

    Looking to add/build a Camper onto my 1973 CJ5.

Missed that awesome build. Just goes to show you what can be packed into a small camper. Not much smaller than my Flippac on a 5' bed.
