    Ceramicspeed “Driven” chainless drive

Since cycling has a 150 year history, it’s rare to see a truly new idea. Here’s one: a chainless drive system that claims to be 99% efficient, compared to 95-97% efficiency for a bicycle chain drive. Ceramicspeed is showing a concept that could replace the bicycle chain and derailleur...

    How important is GVWR?

C’mon guys-try to keep a modicum of civility in this thread. I know this is mostly good-natured ribbing, but ExPo tries to have a higher standard than the other 4x4 forums. Teasing about someone else’s truck brand is not ok. The moderators are now looking at this thread more closely. If you...

Definitely won’t be available in USA for street use. But what about importing them as off-highway vehicles, like a side by side UTV? Mahindra is planning to build a Jeep-like off-road vehicle in Michigan, and sell it alongside the company’s UTVs. Suzuki has a web site with details about the...

Owners of Land Rover Discovery, BMW X5, Mercedes GLE, Audi Q7, Lexus LX and other big SUVs have noticed that their third row of seats is really for children. Jeep Grand Cherokee owners are in the same boat. That’s why Jeep is working on a new longer SUV for 2021 (maybe to be called Grand...

    Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4²

Saw my first 500 4×4² on the road recently near San Francisco. It was a fire truck high visibility yellow version, looking like a real life Tonka toy. Sorry, no photo, as I was driving at the time. Only $227K, not unreasonable in this era when $250K buys an entry-level Ferrari or Mclaren. Time...
