It was time to hit the road again. We began working our way towards Texas and to some of our friends who live northwest of Ft. Worth.
We found a quiet little spot next to a lake in southwest Arkansas.
We spent a great couple of days with our friends before moving on. We were still...
Thank you. It's been a lot of fun and the Corvette Museum is well worth it. You'll probably like this next set as it gets a little more exciting. ;)

After St. Louis, we crossed the river into Illinois and found a spot next to a small lake.
We continued across Illinois to the Ohio River, where we took a ferry. I have no idea why taking a ferry is so much fun, but it makes it feel like you are on an adventure when you take one.
Once...
Because of the rain and weather, we started in a more southerly direction hoping to get out of the storm cells. We didn't...
We eventually made it into upper northwest corner of Missouri after a couple of days. We found a state park to camp in after driving through some torrential rain in...
After visiting the Devil's Tower, we needed to find a camp spot. We found a great spot off of the highway and had a nice hike after dinner.
As you can see, we woke up to a weather change.
This is also where we split ways. Spressomon's eventual goal was Nebraska and he was on a limited...
Thank you. I had been up there before with the 4WC, but this was the first time for the Bundutec. Thank you, I'm not sure whether its skills or just not smart enough to turn around...
Will do.
Jack
You are welcome, its a beautiful state and I know how you feel. I wasn't born in Nevada, but every time I cross the state line back into Nevada; I have that same feeling.
Jack
From there we headed through Yellowstone. We didn't spend too much time there as we were on a bit of a time crunch, so there were some driving days.
Just as we were almost through the park, Momma and cub decided to cross the road in front of Spressomon.
Of course there was a second cub...
Time for another update. We left in September for a loop through America. Again, our travel partner for the first portion was Spressmon in his '07 DMax with Escape trailer. Our first stop was a hot springs north of Wells, NV.
Beginning mileage:
Camp and surrounding area:
From there we...
Makes sense. I’ve owned three 1st gen 4Runners and always wanted to put a camper like you have pictured on one. Looking forward to seeing it come to fruition.
Jack
How are you planning on lifting the front portion of the camper? That is a long reach. Not sure what your lifting mechanism is, but it will need to be pretty robust to lift the front of camper in your renderings. By the way, I like the rendering and the "balance" of the package.
I can see...
One of the other problems I think we have in America is lack of LC choices. You can have any LC you want as long as its a fully loaded 200 series. :)
Jack
Hah! I don't know about that, but I'm sure a smart person would have turned around long before we did. :p
You are welcome and I don't blame you. Either would be an amazing time.
Jack
I hear you. We made some sacrifices to get where we are, but are happy to be able to live this way. You'll get there and you already have a great rig to do it in.
Jack
You know that if you go up, you must go down.
That little trail was very tight and there were a few places that I was inches from the fence on the left and boulders on the right. Almost made it unscathed.
Camp time.
The next day, we made our way into Bodie and down Aurora Canyon. We...
Camp time.
Added some more pinstriping to the camper.
From there, we headed down the mountain and into the adjoining range.
Mono Lake in the distance.
Jack
A couple of weeks ago, we and some friends headed into the mountains with a goal of Mt. Patterson. Now I have traveled into this area a few times before, but never with my current setup.
Of course we had to get some BBQ in Walker.
Camp in the morning
Of course SpressoDan made coffee for...
