Pathfinder-vans kit on a 91 and previous van

Chris, do you have any pictures or documentation on your conversion? I remember seeing you refer to it before and my '79 E350 Pathfinder rides like it has no front suspension. I'd be interested in doing a leaf swap if it wasn't too much headache.

Options for a small motorhome based on e350

Try searching for a "Class B" motorhome, those are the ones based on a van chassis/camper van and aren't a van-cab with a huge camper body type motorhome (Class C) or Rolling Stones tour bus (Class A).

    1988 E350 4x4 - La Ballena Gris

Any interior pics? I got my rebuilt 460 into my '79 E350 Pathfinder last Summer and the interior is next on the list this Spring. Also, any more front suspension pictures? It's interesting to see leaf springs instead of the coil suspension like what's on my van.

Astro Build: The story of Van-a-White

Heck, you're entirely the reason I was willing to go look at this van!

Astro Build: The story of Van-a-White

Wow, hard to beat with that mileage at that price. I looked at a '97 with way over 200k miles for $650 Sunday that literally made me gag. It sort of looked/smelled like they kept a pack of wolves inside it. It needed lower ball joints so bad it was scary to ride in (then the guy told me he...

    UJOR Build Thread

I got all excited when I saw this until I realized that my '78 happens to have a fuel tank right where this all fit...

    UJOR Build Thread

Be sure to document it when you do; my '78 E350 Pathfinder would appreciate it too! Waiting with baited breath as this Ujoint build continues.

    Heading out to WestFest!

How did I miss this? Dang, it's just over the hill (sorta) from me here in Anaconda. Now with my luck it'll be about 700 miles away next year... I guess I should stick my head in this forum more often.

Nice Karate Monkey! Looking forward to the penthouse top update.

    Superu Phase II

I'd have to agree I wouldn't cover the car with bedliner for all the reasons already brought up. It will add some weight, it'll probably look pretty shabby after a few years, it'll never come off (I guess not a big deal if you keep the car until you die, but it'll kill the resale value) and...

    some pop top finds!

That Ford in Seattle looks pretty shady but the Diesel Westy is the find of the month. Pretty good deal too!

    Our mini....

I love the Canfield F1 that's worth probably 3-4X what the van's worth:D (I had a F1 for a while too, sweet bike). Sweet van too!

I had to post this for sale

My folks had a Chevy version of one of those and it was lucky to get 9 mpg and rode like it didn't have any suspension (like the axles were welded straight to the frame). It was a nice size and that's a nice price on that one but I'd definitely arrange a test drive before putting down a deposit.

    78 GMC Pathfinder 4x4 build

Nice, I'll be following this too. I have a '75 Ford 1-ton Pathfinder conversion with a 460, C6 automatic and NP 205. I bought it last summer only to discover after one camping trip that it had a crack in the block that allowed the coolant to leak into the #1 cylinder. It's apart awaiting the...

    1998 Dakota A few question?

One thing you could do to help with that is use some dielectric grease inside the cap. You should be able to get it at your local parts store and use it to seal up the cap to the distributor body.

    1998 Dakota A few question?

I'll chime in as far as waterproofing the distributor cap. If you're getting your truck deep enough to get it wet you'll probably be sucking water into the intake and will have bigger things to worry about :snorkel:. I wouldn't worry to much about extensive waterproofing unless you're...

    H2 Overlander

That's a little surprising. I have mine insured (full-coverage) with State Farm and it's not significantly more than our Yukon was when it was the same age. Cripes, a new optioned out diesel truck is probably more expensive than a H2.

    H2 Overlander

I've owned one for almost a year and love the hell out of it. I'm glad people address some of the common misconceptions out there about the H2, namely the "it's a Tahoe" and "it must get 5 mpg" comments. It is a composite of GM parts (so even though there may not be a lot of dealer support now...
