$2800
Bought this in October with plans to ride it well into the summer, but plans are changing a bit and I'd like to sell it a little sooner. I bought it with just under 5000 miles and I think it has about 5300 now.
Has a very small dent in the tank but no paint damage. This bike was...
That was me, and Thanks! We were staying in a cabin in Rangeley for the weekend trying to do some skiing. We gave up because of the crap conditions and ended up climbing a few snow - covered mountains in the FJ instead :) In fact, I think it was called Snow mountain!
Can't get thayah from heyah! They don't allow motorcycles or bicycles in the North Maine Woods. Best bet to do it motorized is on a sled in the winter. If you are planning a trip I can recommend some roads for a dirtbike up there. PM me!
Thanks for the compliments :)
Hard to say, depends on the terrain/route, speed, and driver. I would say 5 gallons would be fine for going almost anywhere up there. That should be enough to get you 100 miles. We brought more because the route I had planned did not include detours for gas.
Don't know about Elephant...
Thanks all!
Bolthill: I'm guessing you live around portsmouth? It would be fun to meet up and discuss some locations and trails.

Just as we got onto the Katahdin Iron Works Road we met a local who seemed to think we were lost. Firstly, I'm not sure how we looked lost having driven the route we did and driving the vehicles we were, but he insisted on giving us directions.

We Chose 5: Get More Information
Splitting up, we fanned out looking for A) a way around, and B) where the road actually went after it entered the water. I went high while Erek and Josh went low, Nick went close to the West bank with Chirp and Kevin tried to ford the river. As usual, Jason...
We were presented with a unique opportunity here, as I saw it we only had Four options:
Caulk the wagon and float it across
Pay a few dollars to take the ferry across
Ford the river

Now we were really moving South at a good pace! The road stayed open, the challenge now was finding our way through the maze of turns and dead ends. We backtracked here and there but navigating was becoming easier as landmarks became more visible.
Up ahead I spotted a narrow section...
