I love it, makes me want to build one just like it. Perhaps in a few years i can find a surplus service vehicle, with a stick and give it that treatment

Ram 2500 06 Mega Cab Build

I'm starting to think most of the bounce is that the 52 is a pretty bumpy road.. I am loving the truck , the guys did an awesome job on it. A popup for sure, I was checking your truck out awhile back when you had it in there , nice setup. I am leaning towards a shell popup so i can toss stuff in...

Ram 2500 06 Mega Cab Build

I will start by saying that I did not drive the truck a ton before doing the upgrade, and it had some serious issues before the work. Below 65 the truck drives amazing, it was super bouncy before to the point of being annoying to drive and I love just cruising now. have not had it in the dirt...

Suggestions : Popup Camper vs Aluminum shell

Thanks for the reply Burt, That is helpful. Do you have to take the font wheel off? Do they go straight in or do you have to turn them to get the bars through? I was wondering if you need to keep some space clear near the door so the tire can turn a bit to go in. Have through axles on my bikes ...

    Clipless Pedals

road for 12 years in clips on the mtb, just switched to flats. Took a bit to get used to , sometimes I feel like I would clear some stuff if i had the clips and did not get bounced off. Other times I think I make it because i can commit more with the flats. I can tell I am missing some power in...

Had A D2, not sure what year. Bought it at 60k miles, had it about 2 years. It ate brakes for breakfast lunch and dinner. Sounds like I got off easy.

Suggestions : Popup Camper vs Aluminum shell

That is hopeful feedback, Do you know if the panels are riveted or glued on on? Someone I was talking to the other day was saying that the glued on panes will hold up much better off road because they can move as the frame flexes with the bed of the truck. This sounds like it makes sense, one of...

Suggestions : Popup Camper vs Aluminum shell

Thanks for the reply +40 in a wash, +60 on a dirt road , or very large rocks/ledges for crawling. I like the Pop up shells , just can't tell if I can toss bike through the small door, or if the shell is tall enough with the top down.

Suggestions : Popup Camper vs Aluminum shell

Hoping the forum can help me with ideas: I have an 06 mega cab 5.7 (soon to have fox 2.5), I am looking to do adventure travel: climbing , mountain biking, ice climbing etc. One of my main needs is to stuff 2 mountain bikes in the shell when we are off on a climb or kayak and not have them...

nice shell. Can I ask you what you thought about the dominator kit, do you still get good use out of it with a camper on the truck , or is it more for when you pull the shell off?
