Hi Everyone!
This update is long overdue! We did hit the road full-time April 26th. We were able to complete the kitchen, pantry and bed area storage projects before we left.
HOWEVER, about 30 mins into our journey, we stopped at the CAT scale and discovered we were significantly overweight...
Hello Everyone!
We (Greg & Ginger) started traveling full-time in our truck camper on April 26th of this year. We have plans to head into Central America this fall. Our original setup was a 2005 Ford F350 dually carrying a modified Camp Lite truck camper. (we removed all propane, installed...
Hey Tom! Thanks for the comments! The dry weight of the camper before any of our modifications was 2980. We are hitting the road next week and I’m certain we are going to be overweight! I’ll let you know after we hit the scales

Hey! I’m behind on updating this thread (obviously) but we’d be happy to help any way we can. It has been an eye opening experience adding all these systems to the existing unit, that’s for sure. Feel free to msg us with any specific questions and hopefully we can help :)

Hey! Good question! I actually didn’t know the answer so I had to ask him lol! He said right now it’s just a matter of cost but it’s something he may upgrade to in the future :)

We finally have considerable progress!!
The diesel system is done! Here’s what we ended up with in the end:
2 kalori blowers. The first one is under the sink and split 3 ways - 1 directly across from dinette, 1 under the shower at the entry end of the camper, 1 in the bed area.
The second...
Thanks! We're determined to leave in April even though we know our to-do list won't be anywhere near done. That's life, right? The big items - heat, hot water, solar, composting toilet - will be done and that's enough. We can do the rest on the road as we want to. If we put this adventure off...
Hey! Greg is programming a custom PLC to monitor everything including power draw but unfortunately it's not installed yet. I'm curious as well so I'm going to hook up the laptop and do some tests next time I go out to the camper and I'll let you know :)
Here is the link to the blowers we are...
We ordered from this site as we know the door style would match. A little pricey though

Finally, an update!
Installing the furnace has not been straight forward. Due to the lack of space, we had to take a detour and configure our water filtration system.
Spoiler: after all the setbacks detailed later in this post, we finally have heat! We slept in the camper last weekend and...
Hi Everyone,
Yet another Espar related question! We'd like to add an electric element to our set up so that we can use that rather than diesel in the rare instances where we have access to shore power. We purchased this block heater but it's not working with our system, I don't think it has...
I haven't updated in a while because the installation of the Espar has taken WAY longer than expected. It would be so much easier if we were installing this in a new build but having to modify the existing camper and work around things already there has proven to be very time consuming. This...
