One thing I don't like about the Drifter is that it's not powder coated stock. That's a $1100+ extra.
Another thing is that the aluminum frame is not as strong as a steel frame. Welding weakens aluminum whereas steel doesn't lose strength when welded. It's also narrower than the GFC.

I've also inquired about a full size (F150) unit several times over a period of months and they said it was still in the planning stage. I suspect they think that the demand isn't large enough to commit the time and energy for a full size design.
@Bravo1782 I chose the GFC for the same reasons you mentioned. I plan to have a modular interior that can be removed for dump runs, hauling construction materials, etc. My truck is my daily driver and I don't have room to store a slide in. I also didn't want to have "gorilla on my back" style...
I have a 2018 F150 3.5EB 4WD SCAB 6.5' bed. It has a payload of 2072 lbs. It should easily handle a Fleet shell (~900 lbs) + passengers, gear, etc and still get reasonable MPG.
The Bedrug will help insulate the floor and sides of the bed. Easy on the knees and can be cleaned with a power washer. https://bedrug.com/bedrug-classic-bedliners
I'm getting one of these for my 2018 SCAB 3.5EB 3.3 RR, E lock.

I don't see any reason to go with any more than 3.3 gears with the 10 speed tranny. The 3.5EB has power to spare and lots of torque at...
Quality and made in the USA. Either get the topper/RTT version or just the RTT.

I have a 2018 F150. In your research on shocks did you find any that have an easily adjustable lift level. I use my truck as a daily driver and only want a lift when going offroad.
Actually, if you read the F150 forum, many do tow and the 2.7 is very capable. The 3.5 is the optimum for towing but the 2.7 can handily tow 5000#. The 2.7 has 400 lb.-ft which is equal to the 5.0 V8 and it get its torque at a much lower RPM and over a greater range. "2.7L EcoBoost produces...
The crew cab is the heaviest F150 configuration. It's counterintuitive to think that the inclusion of lighter body styles would decrease the MPG. I suspect that the the MPG numbers aren't that accurate yet due to lack of participants. Just 76 vehicles is not enough. Sometimes I doubt the...

Based on data from 20 vehicles, 215 fuel-ups and 83,691 miles of driving, the 2018 Ford F-150 gets a combined Avg MPG of 19.42 with a 0.38 MPG margin of error.
I'd bet money that I could meet the EPA mpg...
Look at the Ford F150 2.7l Ecoboost . The 2018 with 10 speed tranny gets ~ 2 mpg better than the 2017 6 speed. These trucks are super fun to drive and seem to be reliable after some teething issues with the early models. The gas milage is exceptional for a gas 1/2 ton pickup. 21/19/24 mpg.

It's true. I have a 2018 SCAB 3.5EB w/ 10 speed and I find it easy to get 20+ mpg @ 65 mph on the highway. Actually 23+ is not unusual on the highway. In fact I can get 20+ mixed terrain milage if I drive smartly and use eco mode when possible. I don't drive it like a teenager but not like an...
