The primary use for a snorkel is for dust control and minimizing it from getting sucked into the intake. IMHO cool air in take is the second reason. So if you travel with more than one vehicle on dusty roads they can be a valuable addition

There are several 2017 Rubi's on Carmax right with the same mileage or less for the same price. I know they aren't the Black Bears and fairly stock but they are one model year newer and you are not buying other folks stuff you may not want or worse, stuff installed that aren't working well...

Cliffride's J30 style prototype (MSRP around $8k)

Spent the day running around Verdi Peak. Did 30 miles on hard pack, gravel, powder and more washboards than my shoulder would have liked. The new BFG KO2s did very well. I didn't air down to see how they performed but I really should have aried down. All in all a great day out.
