    I made some drawers.

I sold the truck more than a year ago, but only ever had issues with the the slides not locking out when on a little crooked ground. The locking slides need to be all the way extended to lock in place and if the weight pushed it toward the locking slide side, you'd just have to pull the drawer...

    I made some drawers.

Thank you! It was a bear, aluminum warps sooo much when you weld it. The two C-channels that make up the middle were potatoe chips! They had each warped over an inch before I welded them together. Becuase they warped opposite each other, when welded together they ended up flat. I am using...

    I made some drawers.

Gotcha! Very nice. Removing the slides definitely saves even more space. Mine are 4'6" long and I didnt want to worry about dragging that out along the floor, so I sprung for the slides. I minimized the wasted space as best I could. Ha! I look at that as a fuction over form...I'm still an...

    I made some drawers.

Thanks Ryan! Thanks Rayra. I did not look at your build, did you do something similar? I searched and searched and could not find any other instance of drawer slides mounted on top of eachother or offset. But it works! I plan to just put a cover over the open spot to finish out the floor. It...

    I made some drawers.

The slides are manufactured by Raydon, which is only about 30 minutes from my house. But they never responded to my calls or emails. http://drawerslidesinc.com/drawer-slides/product/500-lb-full-extension-lock-in-lock-out-drawer-slide/ I found this place in Illinois that was more than happy to...

Thanks! I explored the goose gear, but it would have cost over $2,500 to get something like this from them. It would have also weighed sustainably more and had less usable space.Their shop is only a few miles from my house and I've seen their shop, they make do great stuff.

The finished product. I'm pretty happy with how well it turned out. It's not perfect, but it should get the job done.

    I made some drawers.

One detail I really wanted to get right was the drawer fronts. A single piece of mahagony was used for the drawer fronts/ trim. You can see the grain continue all the way through :wings: There were no second chances with the cuts on this piece. Consulting the oracle Test fitting the...

    I made some drawers.

The culmination of way too much time on the computer and in the shop. As is customary, finished photo first: I wanted a way to keep stuff organized in the back of the camper. With the Flippac, stuff was floating around everywhere and it was always a mess after a single night camping (wife +...

    FS: Flippac Mattress

Flippac mattress for sale. Flippac was manufactured late 2015, probably one of the last flippacs to be made by FRP. Some water leaked in one of the roof rack holes and I pulled it out to dry before things got funky. I replaced it with an inflatable mattress and don't need this anymore. Measures...
