    Tire gauge/deflator

That’s the problem with a vehicle based user name. The Tacoma and I mutually agreed that it was time to part ways. It’s now living it’s best life with a friend of mine.

    Tire gauge/deflator

FedEx just delivered a two hose Indeflate tool. Wow. It is very well made. Truly impressive construction. For a deflator that doesn’t remove the valve cores it dropped pressure plenty quick. I’m looking forward to using it at the beach.

Warn Trans4mer on Silverado 2500HD or any other

Now looking at the Fab Fours option. Their website says it weighs 175 pounds, but it does have foot forward mounting. I’ve found other listings that say 80 pounds. I can’t tell if it keeps the factory tow hooks.

Lets see some full size pictures...

Nothing special at the moment. Just had some new Cooper AT3LT 235-85-16 tires mounted on some used Suburban wheels. A commercial aluminum canopy has been ordered and I need to figure out the Thule tracks for it. Without all the traction doodads my Tacoma had, I’m thinking about a 12.5 Come Up...

    Front Mechanical Locker Experiences?

If you want foolproof I would use a mechanical limited slip. Not as good as a true locker, but it isn’t depending on anything external to the differential.

    DIY rafting style tables

I think I’m going to nix the DIY tables. These stainless steel tables look like a better option. I found some risers that go on the legs that will bring them up to 36”.

    DIY rafting style tables

Has anyone built their own tables? I’m looking at a NRS rafting table, but weight isn’t really a concern. More specifically, I need a couple of tables for group food prep. 6-8 foot long, 24 inches deep, and 36” tall. I have some ideas on the surface and edge material, but need ideas for the...

    Factor 55? How about a Factor $9.99

Masterpull Ultralite I was looking at a splicer from Factor55. I will be going the above route instead. It’s a spliced into the soft eye puck style keeper for synthetic line. It looks like it’s only available on their lines and not available separate.

Commercial aluminum truck canopies: ARE vs Leer

DCU, gray, 26” tall, front picture window with security screen, solid full length doors both sides, double rear doors with windows and security screen. ARE doesn’t have rack tracks as an option, but other manufacturers do, so I’m sure I can add them. I didn’t want the permanent square tube...

    Utilize spare tire location

It looks really expo, just like the jagged tooth shovels quick fisted to the roof rack, but it would be a last resort or maybe a temporary second spare.

    Tire gauge/deflator

2007 Silverado 2500. It currently has rusty steel wheels and balding, old BFG KO tires. It’s getting some OEM Suburban wheels and 235/85-16 Cooper AT3 LT tires. Door sticker is 55psi front and 80psi rear. Currently at 60psi in the rear since it’s empty. Stock size is 245/75-16. The ARB...

Warn Trans4mer on Silverado 2500HD or any other

I’ve been looking at the Westin since it’s been mentioned a couple times. It definitely looks different from the Warn mount, not good or bad, but different. It’s also much less expensive. Their website says it fits most 8k-12k medium frame winches. I know the Warn has an option for winch...

Commercial aluminum truck canopies: ARE vs Leer

I had a snug top on the Tacoma I just sold. I opted for the “nicer” latch mechanism when I bought it. After having it break on me and leaving me locked out of the canopy I was so unsure of it I had a windoor installed driver side. The latches were secured to the glass with a single bolt...

Good 3rd party Truck Camper insurance?

How much is a new camper and how much is insurance for it? Does the insurance cover just repairing or replacing the camper? Or does it include personal property and most importantly, liability and injury?
