Brad, I didnt realize you could attach the Bedowin awning to a Famina front. Do I understand that correctly?
I have the same extended Awning on mine that Brad had on his Karavan. It takes about 15-20 minutes to set up. The hardest part of tear down is to fold the awning back up to go into the...
The E class and that bathroom are great.
To me one of the most important things is this needs to last longer to me. To do that means store it inside. The Karavan fits in my Garage and I can go work on it or take it out to play by just hooking up.
The E class would be much more...
I replaced the Tregg Hitch on my Karavan as I feel the trailer is too heavy for it. It can tow well with no issues, but I had an experience were it bound and I had to use a hammer to get the pin out. I did some research and compared the Mchitch, D035 and thee Hitch-Ezy...
Thanks Don. Adding anti-freeze to the tank I know how to do, sounded like you were doing something else so I just misunderstood.
I have only camped a few nights below freezing. My external lines are insulated and I had the tank heaters on. I generally don't camp between mid November and late...
This is a great thread and looking forward to your adventures. Can you explain more on how you temporarily winterized the water system? I am not sure How I would add anti-freeze in my Karavan without it coming from the tank and then how long do you run it before you think its OK?
I wouldd start a new thread on your unit after posting a picture here to chronicle your adventures, modifications etc like I have for my Karavan. Link in my signature
one you can ride in circles around a lake, the other you can take to the desert or climb mountains with it and you can use it cross country while you are getting there
Congrats. I would join KKOG.org. It is mostly Australians but an awesome resource for your new purchase.
It has been helpful to me. I have the same username there as here
I bought an Alu-Cab
I have no first hand experience with the Roofnest, but I came down to the Alu-cab based on build and history of durability. I have been real happy with it. I heard an earlty complaint on the Roofnest but that could be due to new product learning pains like Alu-cab had with...
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on what the seller should be doing. It's a well known Australian company that has a dealer for the first time in the US. I stumbled onto Kimberley because I saw one in 2009, then bought a used Kamper in 2010. I sold it and bought a Karavan direct from the...
All I can do is post about my Karvan that came with the winter package. You can see the hoses are insulated and their are membrane heaters on the side of both tanks.
As far as diesel, that's beenn around the US a long time. Sprinter Vans use them as do Some RVs
My friends with other...
Excited about getting out this year after the Karavan sat in the garage all 2020. I did get out twice, once rented a house as the whole family came and that was easier and another trip to the maze where I used my Alu-Cab
And of Course the 40's only run
There was one thing that sucked from...
Mine is sealed tight. Water doesnt get in either down or deployed in camp. High winds dont bother it either. I offroad mine which fills the cruiser with dust, but the Karavan in camp doesnt have any of that when it deployed. Still I would store it inside when not in use as anything will feel...
who needs tables? yes the picnic table is behind me. Still usable but never have. The electrical hookup is a long extension cord that fits in wither direction. In this campground the water and electrical hook up was in the middle of two spots. I have never needed the water hook up with the...
My Karavan is on the US drivers side. I don't see any issue with that. You can still open the door and climb in to stock the fridge and get access to the kitchen drawers.
