    Expedition One Bumper on SD

Noted! It's the powder coating that has been an issue. They're shipping it raw and I'm getting it coated locally. Solved the winch problem too. Come Up 16.5 will fit if the solenoid is moved.

    Expedition One Bumper on SD

Anyone her have an Expedition One front bumper on a 2020+ Super Duty? If so, what winch did you buy. The recommend a Come-Up 12.5. but my rig needs something in the 16.5 range. Happy to get a Come-Up, Superwinch, or Warn. I just want to know it'll fit. Thanks!

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

Well, I just got my Pintops and Deaver XHDs put on. I can tell you this is doesn't sit even close to right without the load. The back is so high that you can see the bump stops. It drives like a harsh sports car. That's all in line with what I expected and should all tone down after I drop a ton...

    Suspension Edumication...

Sorry, I’m gonna be of no help on the Chevy. I left mine stock. It fit 32s just fine. As you can see though, it’s potentially a deep and speedy rabbit hole! Good luck!

    Suspension Edumication...

It depends on what you want it to do differently, how much weight you’re planning to carry and how often. When my Silverado with a Helwig helper and stockers bit the dust, I just put new Bilstein 4800s on and called it a day. It’s not worth throwing anything more on a truck with 150k miles. My...

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

All they mean is versus a stock bed with nothing in it and stock leaf springs. Why anyone picked that spring, when in the very best unloaded scenario you'd be 600 lbs. over that is beyond me. You'll be 1000 lbs. over when wet. I'll be carrying a popup on a flatbed that's 500 lbs. less than...

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

It's hard to have it both ways. I'm getting a Pintop system installed on Monday. In order to have it ride well camper on, which it'll have 99.999% of the time, it'll have to ride poorly if I take it off. If it's going to be on and off and you want it to ride it as well as it can in both...

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

They don't list the XHD or the XXHD for the Ford platform, but they do sell them. It's probably the same for the RAM. That said, you'd be in the middle. Best of luck!

    Where to Locate Light Switches

I have a F350 with upfitter switches. We'll have forward and aft lights that I'll tie to those. We will also have lighting in our upper boxes and will be using rock lights to light the ground once parked. I'm trying to figure out how and where to switch those. I'll probably put an external...

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

Ultimately, whoever sold it to you and installed it is responsible to you. They sold you an under spec’d system, regardless of who advised them to do so. It’s really on them to make it right. If Carli advised them to install that with your weight, they should reimburse your installer for both...

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

You can get that leaf with the $160 camper package on the 250. I'm with you though. I can see no reason not to do as I did, F350.

Pop Up Camper for 5.5' Bed F150

I'm necromancing your thread. I have a 5.5' bed Silverado with a FWC Raven. It's a shell with no tanks. We can push it to the limit weight wise. We decided to ditch the whole thing an build up a F350 with a Hallmark and a flatbed. I'd be leery about throwing a bunch at a half ton. Unless you go...

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

It depends on what packages you get. You can essentially configure a 250 to be the same as a 350. It doesn't put the same numbers on the stickers though. It's controversial, since they can be the same truck. I personally ponied up a little more so that I had a camper certificate and had the...

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

You may want to read the Carli post below. Again, it's SD and not Ram, but I would think their nomenclature would be similar. On my truck, to carry that much weight, 500 pounds less than you, they require the Pintop kit (2.5 Kings) and use the XHD leaf pack. It's a huge bummer, but it sounds...

Help: Carli/Deaver Rear Springs 06 Ram

Who spec’d HD leaf pack? I have a F350, with a flatbed and a 1200 lb. dry camper coming. Carli spec’d the XHD leaf pack. It isn’t listed on their website. It is tuned for a constant 2000 lbs. If you’re loaded, you’re putting 3000 lbs. on a leaf pack designed to handle half the weight. Best case...

Any Ford Superduty with OEV Aluma Tray owners out there?

I know nothing about the Aluma Tray, so I can't be of any help there. I do have a tray on order though and the concept might be of interest. My issue with a slide in on a flatbed is that the camper sits 5" higher. That creates two issues, higher COG and a big gap between the truck roof and the...

1/2 Ton vs 3/4 Ton for Family Adventures?

Yep. Plus I intentionally paid for the stickers in the event that I wanted a hard side someday. After running out of capacity on our Silverado, I didn’t want that to be an issue.
