I looked at your build post for your platform, you have some mad skills!

It works out pretty well, the wife and I did a big backcountry loop on the Rocky Mountain Front by Augusta last night. Slept well through rain and wind safe and secure. Wish there was a little more headroom but the platform sure provides a bunch of storage under it that makes up for the tight fit.

I wondered about that, must have used the full range of motion on the recline mode on JLU because they sure don't have any forward travel.

Those were great, I have always set my Suv's up to sleep inside. Always seemed like a better idea then spending thousands on a roof top tent when you could have a secure ,weather proof shelter for the cost of a sheet of plywood.

A friend has one and we have a Klepper folding kayak. They are better then no boat but setup and tear down are time consuming. The beautiful thing about the take down canoe would be the portability compared to the short setup time

Just back from a three month road trip with the Ram and the Jeep, it was perfect to have both. We did several long multiday drives with each and I think this is the best way to do long trips with the JlUR.
