Go look at Wal-Mart before you commit. I got a nice queen size memory foam topper that was 4" thick for like $90-$100 The upholsterer that did my other work had a foam cutting knife and trimmed it to size. SUPER comfortable. An electric hot-knife works too. I also got a 2" topper for the bench...

Long Post Warning:
Big Big Day on the camper! I had a buddy come over and attach the roof. I plan to rebuild the roof next off season and I'll use the old one this season. Then I took it for a spin around the block. This thing hadn't been towed since September of 2011!

That's the nice thing about those finishes, just sand and recoat. More small coats is better than a few big ones anyway. I used like 7 coats of Varathane for my camper floor and 4 for the counters. It'll turn out great.
IF you use 220 grit sandpaper with a random orbit sander on the lowest...
