They also very carefully set this up so extreme doesn’t own them. An acquisition would have come with all debts and obligations. This basically a bankruptcy in disguise. Suing extreme is probably impossible.
They probably haven’t filed bankruptcy yet because nobody has come after them. A couple of lawsuits to recover deposits would likely do the trick, but then nobody gets anything anyway except the lawyers. Doesn’t sound like they have any assets that could be sold off, and any outstanding loans...
Look for a leak somewhere in the line. Mine had a small leak outside on one of the connections and it was enough to throw an error after working for a little while. Soap and water found it. Could be something else of course, but worth a check.
Wow. Very sad to see what you’re going through with this. Some of these builders don’t deserve to be in business. No product should fall apart like that.
Agree there are some odd design choices. The strange angled cushion; if you set up the dinette bed, the main bed becomes landlocked and you have to crawl over everyone to get out. Interior burner is silly. Just use a portable there, or get more lithium and use an inverter and portable...
I bet the price goes way above that when it gets to production. No way they put all that tech and lithium in that trailer for that price. I bet it tops $200K out the door if it ever sees production.

Looks pretty swanky. Still don’t get all this focus on luxury apartment living for the off road segment, but whatever sells I guess. Kimberly and that Chinese company that makes the Tribe thing might argue about this being the first hard sided popup, but that’s marketing for you. Garageable...
I guess there’s no front hitch on the summit like on the Boreas? Couldn’t you bolt a couple of 1up trays on top of the front storage box instead of having the luggage rack up there. That’s how Boreas does it, and it looks like it would work on the Summit.
Yeah, I can see the benefits of dual axle for bigger trailers, but wouldn’t want the extra weight and expense on mine either, but then again, I’d never want to haul 6,000 lbs around either. Just too much to even think of it as camping. Have never had an issue with tracking or highway driving...
I’d still try to get the company to fix it. They should be concerned about their reputation enough to want to fix it. A professionally built trailer just shouldn’t fail that soon. Then again, wood in a trailer is always a risk.
Love to see if you can make it through the sand on the Outer Banks Core islands with that puppy. Maybe dual axles will help with flotation on the sand. I got stuck for a bit just with my 2500 pounder.
