Will my Tacoma survive 1000 miles with a FWC on stock suspension?

@Mickey Bitsko yeah there are mounts you can buy specifically made for second gen Tacoma‘s that will use the bolts that hold the bed to the frame, but I have no chance of obtaining those prior to when I would need to pick this up. and while I’m on my soapbox, that also has me deciding between...

Will my Tacoma survive 1000 miles with a FWC on stock suspension?

yeah that’s something i’m trying to figure out. problem is i’ve never actually seen a FWC in person, let alone gotten to look around and see what mounting options there would be for something improvised. neither of the ones i’m looking at include mounting hardware that works for a 2nd gen tacoma

Will my Tacoma survive 1000 miles with a FWC on stock suspension?

Definitely wouldn’t try to put a grandby in a tacoma, even if the bed dimensions allowed it. Just an Eagle model. Also looking at a Fleet too

Will my Tacoma survive 1000 miles with a FWC on stock suspension?

I’m considering driving about 1000 miles away to pick up a used four wheel camper for sale, and my 2006 long bed Tacoma currently sits on TeraFlex falcon tow/haul suspension, which I believe is pretty close to stock capability. Someone correct me if I’m wrong. But I can’t seem to find anyone...

What would you offer? 2017 FWC Fleet

Seller said $23k but is that high for this year and having no solar power? I was thinking maybe $20k max and more realistically negotiate down from there. What would you pay for this?

Full timing: keep my Tacoma and get a nicer camper, or trade for a Tundra and get a beater camper?

I do sometimes consider the F250 but the used market on those is even more absurd than the tundra currently. there isn’t a single one in the 6.2 V8 gen i’d consider for sale around me that isnt on a shady car lot asking more than new MSRP for an older high mileage used model. i see you have a...

Full timing: keep my Tacoma and get a nicer camper, or trade for a Tundra and get a beater camper?

even a 15 year old tundra with 200,000 miles on it still demands around $15,000 where I’m at. The market is absolutely ridiculous. And then I am out of my budget for getting a nice camper, and have a gamble of a truck. So I don’t think going halfway on each is the way.

Full timing: keep my Tacoma and get a nicer camper, or trade for a Tundra and get a beater camper?

I own a 2006 Tacoma and I’m planning on moving out of my apartment in the next couple months to start living full-time in a pop-up truck camper. I’m pretty much trying to decide between selling my Tacoma to spend about $25,000 on a used newer-year tundra and then like $3000 on an old beat up...

How important is it to get an access cab Tundra instead of a Crewmax to carry a pop up camper?

Yeah I do consider getting an F250. Just that reliability.. I would always be anxious when taking it far out into the wilderness

How important is it to get an access cab Tundra instead of a Crewmax to carry a pop up camper?

10 years lol. I wouldn’t even be surprised if it was that long at this point. By the time you get it you’re not even into it anymore haha

How important is it to get an access cab Tundra instead of a Crewmax to carry a pop up camper?

I’m shopping for a used second gen tundra to put an FWC type pop-up camper in the bed of full time. Of course I’m looking for a “access“ cab 6.5’ bed (I know Toyota likes to call that the crew cab, and call the crew cab the crewmax but that’s so stupid) but those are very few and far between in...
