I did my whole van with Monstaliner. I roll it on my driveway. Prep work is mostly removing loose paint, rough-up the surface and degrease. I'll not use this on a Honda Civic, but i love it on an off-road vehicle. Quite durable. I'm happy with Monstaliner, if I need to do another vehicle I'll...
I've run a dorm fridge for three years with all kinds of abuse. Finally it gave up on a trip to Mexico going over a dry river bed. I've replace it with a mini freezer controlled with an external thermostat to run as fridge. It has better insulation and the compressor makes less clanking noises...
Time for the rear springs. Since I put the 860S springs at the front, the back was slightly lower than the front. Even tough I replaced the 2" block with a reverse shackle, the leaves seem to gave some. I got a set of springs from a E-250 and did some mixing. The springs I had were aftermarket...
I think I prefer Justin's better. Low profile off-road tires makes me cringe and I can do without the blowup Tupperware around the fenders and rockers. Justin approach is more function over form.
Driving on that river bed in Mexico was not the best for the old dorm fridge and after three years, it quit. You can hear the compressor turning, but it doesn't cool. All things considered I think it was a good run. 3.3 cf (98 qt) for $150 and lasted 3 years.
I replace it with an energy star...
I did some calculations, but I've never weighted my van yet. I tried all three. I went with the 880s first since this was the general consensus. Too stiff, good height. then tried the 880 and I was bottoming the differential against the chassis. I had the 860s form some test I did on my old 2000...
Most likely spark plugs or ignition coils. I've been running this cheap set of coils for three years One was iffy, but for $30 for a set of 8, I can not complain. they are very easy to replace.
As far as driving or not. Where is "here"? What are your circumstances... I am sure your family or...
My comments are about my van, 5.4, 4x4 with MG radius arms kit. Keep in mind that the springs will not have to take care of the weight of the axle on a static situation.
Installed height is how much the spring compresses under the rated weight. Load / rate = spring compression. Example: CC880S, 3006 lbs / 652 (lbs/inch) = 4.6 inch of compression. Free height 16.6 inch-4.6inch compression = 12 inch installed height.
If you know your weight per side you can...
Priority was price as weight. Since I do not need to carry an apartment building on top, wood can do. Three contractor style bars and wood frame and decking. Cheap, easy to work. Party deck, cargo area, solar panels and awning support.
Went to Big Bend with the Gambler 500 and crossed to Mexico. Great gang, I wish I had the room to make my own gambler.

Looks great. Keep in mind that you need to remove the headlights to change a blown bulb. You do not want to remove the bumper to do that. Don’t ask me how I know.
I guess it depends on the year and type of engine/transmission. I have a 2010 with the 5.4 gas 4r75e transmission mated to a NV271 with a 2008 F350 Dana 60 front axle. The only issue was the ABS sensors plugs. They are the same but the male plug is on the frame on the van and on the axle on the...
Continuing with the Party Deck project. Awning is taking shape. I'll replace the telescopic poles (4' to 8") with longer ones (6' to 12') to gain a little bit of rigidity. I've build two "pockets" on the rack using PVC pipe where the poles got inserted. They provide enough support. The fabric is...
