It works great. I made the stand out of thicker EMT with cabling at the top and bottom. The geometry on this one is a bit wider, the springs are a bit bigger, but the overall construction is mostly the same. Here's the link 22" Disc Cooker I'll have to take a side by side pic at some point...

This will be my second one. The first one I made from a $30 disc I got from a tractor supply. It’s about double the size and good for larger groups. I smoothed it out also, and it works well. I’m going to make a similar tripod stand for this one.

That’s a great idea, nice work. I like that approach. I didn’t want to permanently mount a table on the interior of the door due to limited space. Thanks for posting details.
Thanks, it was fun. Almost designed it for u-bolts but put in some channels for zip ties first. Was impressed with how well they held. Carrying box will be held on with a ratchet strap to the factory rails, so the zip ties just hold the aluminum hex crossbar and the 3D printed pieces in place...
