DIY Discada Cooker - Tripod Leg Version

It works great. I made the stand out of thicker EMT with cabling at the top and bottom. The geometry on this one is a bit wider, the springs are a bit bigger, but the overall construction is mostly the same. Here's the link 22" Disc Cooker I'll have to take a side by side pic at some point...

DIY Discada Cooker - Tripod Leg Version

@gunsandgearnetwork put up a great post on how to make a DIY disc cooker and stand. This is a variation of his build and also based on a similar project I had built in the past using a bigger disc that’s been great for using with the whole family. The smaller size he showed looked great for one...

    DIY Discada "Skottle" Cooker $65.00

This will be my second one. The first one I made from a $30 disc I got from a tractor supply. It’s about double the size and good for larger groups. I smoothed it out also, and it works well. I’m going to make a similar tripod stand for this one. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Pictures of Camp Kitchens

That’s a great idea, nice work. I like that approach. I didn’t want to permanently mount a table on the interior of the door due to limited space. Thanks for posting details.

    Homemade Roofracks.

Thanks, it was fun. Almost designed it for u-bolts but put in some channels for zip ties first. Was impressed with how well they held. Carrying box will be held on with a ratchet strap to the factory rails, so the zip ties just hold the aluminum hex crossbar and the 3D printed pieces in place...

    Homemade Roofracks.

So not exactly what you're looking for, but here's an idea. I made the platform for my roof rack out of some extruded pieces of aluminum I found at the local salvage yard. Quick build and it's pretty low profile. That would be easy enough to replicate. I was able to get away from such a simple...
