Blundstone boots....... update Well I wore my 550's in the Moab area for 12 days, Canyonlands, Arches, White rim trail, Valley of the gods, etc. they got scuffed and beat up pretty good... got home, cleaned them up, waxed them, good as new. No issues at all, the 550's get my vote, light, tough...

sleeping under topper I have spent many many nights sleeping in the bed of my truck with a thick foam mattress and sleeping bag. I do not have a platform as without I have room to sit up to read, get dressed and such. My topper is a Leer 100 and I have a tule rack/MOAB basket for my other gear...

Bean Boots I have been wearing there leather topped Maine Hunting Boot in various heights for many years, (40+) for everything from washing trucks to hunting Ruffed Grouse here in up-state NY, been thru more than few pairs. You won't regret having them, not for pavement tho, and best in spring...
