10 days is easily possible if you manage your cooler well. I've done multiple raft trips down the grand canyon where we still had ice for cocktails on day 21.
Yes, I could put in a manual combiner switch, but I don't trust myself to remember to connect and disconnect. It would nice to have it automatic and mindless.

The chassis battery on my 2001 e350 has developed a parasitic load that drains the battery in about a week. I've disconnected the solenoid between the house and chassis batteries, so I know that's not the problem.
Can anyone suggest a scheme or device to trickle charge the chassis battery...
I have a large roof rack cargo platform I took off my 2001 be e350 van. About 10 feet long by 6 feet wide, with 4 inch sides. Custom made, with ladder. I no longer have the mounts that supported this, so it's the platform only. Located in salt lake.
