Due to a very recent financial hardship we have decided to sell our truck camper.:(
***Asking price $ 12,000.
Here is a link to the craigslist ad with detailed camper info:

I have a ton more pics for any serious buyers.
This rig is in...
Ouch is right! The only "unloaded" mpg data I've compiled was on the trip from Seattle to Denver to pick up the camper. This was with a fairly empty truck, including mild supplies, driver and two passengers. Additions/changes to the stock truck have been Toytech/Bilstein 5100's front, custom...
Sounds and looks (very scenic pics) like you guys had a great trip!
I'd be stoked to get that kind of fuel mileage with a camper,
(consdering my average 11-12mpg :smilies27).
Welcome to ExPo!
Nice rig choice BTW. That exact truck was my very first consideration when I started thinking this route. Alas, the liquidation of my Tacoma/ATFP combo only got me so far...
I swapped out the stock suspension and turned it into a Tundra HD model. In it's stock form it would...
Dave, that turned out kick a**!
Multi-dimentionally slick, to say the least!
I really like how everthing was kept as light as possible, and tucked in close with the bumper.
This is one of the reasons I had to move on from my ATFP.
I just couldn't keep up...:sombrero:
VERY IMPRESSIVE to say the least! :clapsmile
I'm especially blown away by how clean, organized, and roomy the interior turned out.
That being said, I'm sure that your "shipfitters disease" will lead you toward more improvements as you continue to put the TARDIS through it's tests.
Spahle,
You may want to inspect your CV boots as well. Some of these 1st Gen Tundras are notorious for leaking a little "or alot" of grease once the angle of the CV joint is changed when lifting the front end. I never had this problem with my '00 Tundra AC, but major CV grease spewage after...
4yo Phoenix Pop Up in what sounds like xlnt shape for $4k? Sounds like a no brainer to me...
A "basic" shell model is a blank canvas to customize as you see fit. Buy it before someone else does, camp in it, and resell it if you don't like it. Just my .02
Good luck. WS
Welcome to Expo! Nice set up/combo.
I used to have a 2000 Tundra nearly identical to yours, and it was a great rig.
BTW, hows the surf in Ventura today? :sombrero:
x2 on making one...
We used to shroud the entire tailgate/rear hatch area ( previous AT Flippac and previous truck/shell/RTT combo) with a large military surplus mosqito net. I suppose you could pick up a couple of those and secure them together in some fashion, to cover your whole Jeep. With a...
x2. I'm running Timbrens with my rear suspension as well.
Easy install. Zero maintenance. Performance/handling has been great.

Hadley,
Looks like you mounted the "keeper" portion of your new door holder to the trash/other bin?
This solution could be something that would work well for my set up also.
Is the keeper portion a spring loaded pin mechanism?
Does the "arm" portion of the holder stay put/not bounce around on...
x2 on the above posts.
I drain it from a short length of hose into a collapsable 5gl water jug, and empty as needed.
This also alleviates an otherwise muddy mess in camp.
