    Interesting, and understandable, that the downhill traffic (heavy trucks) on the “Resource Roads” in B.C. have the right-of-way, exactly the opposite of the rules on public roads in the U.S. (at least in California).

    GMRS Walkie talkies, next step up

    Two thoughts in regard to your post: 1. A GMRS License would cover use of your radios by members of your family (e.g. kids). 2. Cheaper FRS radios are still “interoperable” (on simplex) with GMRS units (again a plus for kid use).

    Maybe not “blocked”, but does not the U.S. Government still have the ability, when deemed necessary, to degrade the accuracy (Selective Availability) of its GPS (Navistar?) system?
