Mine is incredible in the snow and very confidence inspiring. My van is always heavy so I don't have to carry ballast. I just run BFG AT KO2s. When it gets really gnarly I'll air down.

I like your flooring. I've done a sort of similar thing with a sheet of plywood and tee nuts for various things that I bolt to the floor. I'd love to have something stronger. I've also bolted a couple sections of L-track to the floor and it's a major pain dealing with all the various systems...
A salvage yard is in the business and should know what they have. The gear ratio is stamped right next to the BOM. I can't see why the customer should have to learn how to decoded the serial number when the seller should know how to do that. The seller ****ed this one up, plain and simple.

The only access to the batteries will be the hinged door on the front right? No trap door in the floor. Doesn't seem like you would need one anyway if the charging and jumper posts are remotely located. Should be able to leave them there and just occasionally...
