    2WD van in the winter/snow?

Mine is incredible in the snow and very confidence inspiring. My van is always heavy so I don't have to carry ballast. I just run BFG AT KO2s. When it gets really gnarly I'll air down. https://www.instagram.com/p/BOBrgmgjDvl/?taken-by=petrolburner

Why isn't anybody but Aluminess making a side ladder?

This is what I would do too. 1) No constant parasitic drag hanging off the side 2) Use it around camp and job site for a million other things.

    MG Metalworks Van Build

I like your flooring. I've done a sort of similar thing with a sheet of plywood and tee nuts for various things that I bolt to the floor. I'd love to have something stronger. I've also bolted a couple sections of L-track to the floor and it's a major pain dealing with all the various systems...

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

A salvage yard is in the business and should know what they have. The gear ratio is stamped right next to the BOM. I can't see why the customer should have to learn how to decoded the serial number when the seller should know how to do that. The seller ****ed this one up, plain and simple.

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

That's a good reminder of the dangers of winching and snatching. I'll never let anyone use a chain with me and I carry a variety of shackles and two different snatch straps. Also, don't loop the snatch strap around a tow ball. You'd think that big chunk of metal would be fine but I guess it's...

    Project "Autonomous" F-350

Those OBS Fords look great! The only access to the batteries will be the hinged door on the front right? No trap door in the floor. Doesn't seem like you would need one anyway if the charging and jumper posts are remotely located. Should be able to leave them there and just occasionally...

Gallivanter: An Ominous Beginning and an Optimistic Future

I haven't been on here much lately and this is the first time I read my brother's thread. I don't really do ride reports because of the amount of time and effort involved. I do post to instagram though, so click https://www.instagram.com/petrolburner/ for photos of Gertrude, my bikes, aerial...
