Reading the thread I was hoping you would do a HV battery to see how you would package it. The Volt battery adds more complexity since it's liquid cooled. I do think it's possible but would take some nifty work. I work for GM in vehicle durability as a test engineer so I have some experience...

The ZR2 is taller/wider (more frontal area), heavier, and has bigger, aggressive tires (higher rolling resistance) which all add up to reduce the MPG.
