I highly recommend the Starcraft RT series or the Jayco Baja's.
Done a bunch of research when I bought my 08 Starcraft RT10, it was the only one with 2x6 box tubing both tongue and frame, and the Baja had the 4" box fram with 6" boxed tongue.
The Starcraft also cam with a 35 gal water tank that...
You are totally right.
I have had in the same places as the heavier Expedition campers and did not have to worry about the 55+ mph winds that would knock almost everything over.

Let me know when as we might be able to swing it. We are closing on a house 22 or 28 Nov. The weekend before is a possibility.
We want to hike back to Turkey Creek hotsprings when we get in that area. We have not been down there in over a year due to a busy work/school schedule.

Nice little pony, I agree with Black ZJ, plus ad a good set of shocks to help dampin the washboard roads and the occational highspeed bumps that will wag the pup pretty bad.
Sorry to here about the truck but sometimes the Cummins gods are telling you to not get the gasser and to keep looking. What is the price range you can afford and I might be able to help. I am not a dealer but did a lot of searching to find the deal I got on my 02 2500.

13.5K BTU, I only carry a small 1200 watt geny and only use the a/c for the rare trips in the desert with full hookups. That said the a/c is more drag than anything else.
