ok ill give my opinion on soft vs hard top ..... I did lots of roadtrips with both ..... If you have kids ,id go hardtop : you will use the second bed all the time , hardtop doesnt absorb humidity like a soft top , hardtop cuts on noise when sleeping ... If in cold weather , way...

Planning to buy & build up an AWD Express/Savana van,bus,cube, preferably a 2500 ..... Did a search and found that the front differential has only 7.5" ring gear....... 1) anyone had problem with the AWD front diff ? I plan to put bigger tires , I`m scared that the diff wont hold up ...

I found a couple of AWD Savana Vans for sale with 5.3L V8 vortec engine .... In the 25000 version ,all the undercariage seems quite sturdy ! If I get an AWD Van, I have to find a raised roof for it ! Any manufacturer link ? Anyone would have a link of someone who modified a cube van or...

what are the main differences between a 1500 & 2500 ? are the brakes bigger on the 2500 ? diff ratios ? frame ? seems like both have 6 bolt lug Wheel pattern thanks Dan

just read all the pages .... sold my syncro westfalia and replaced it for a Rialta ...great , but too low for my goals looking too get a used Savannah awd van or a small cube for more space reason ( then the westfalia ) : two things id like to know .... did you try the awd system yet ...

the suburban with the vanagon pop top is a great idea ....not sure we can stand up in it ! A diesel widened body Van that I would convert to 4x4 would be my best bet ! but then a short cube van could do it ! I dont intend to do hardcore trails .....I just need extra traction for the rough...

normally towing package includes : Gears , transmission oïl cooler , harness & Hitch ( some a tranny temp gauge ) ..... with your serial number, you could get all the options list ,,, personally Id keep the 3:73`s if you run 31" or lower tires , and dont tow nore then 5,000 pounds

I already have a hard core Jeep ..... The westfalia dint have shower or toilet ...so ! but an external shower would be planned this time, lollll when we did our roadtrip un the US ( 32 states ) from March to end of June , we coulndt do the offroad areas .....being a Jeeper at heart ,it hurted...

there is a major difference between what you really need and what you could install when I look at the Ford van light bars, I find it soooo nice but I woulndt want to be followed by him ..... I have a 24" 120w on my wetsfalia front bumper ....and believe me ,there aint no dark areas anymore...
