Just got this email and thought I'd pass it along in case anyone is contemplating buying a Spot.

After about a year of trying to figure out what kind of rig would work best for us we ended up ordering a 2016 Hallmark Everest 8.5' camper to go on our F-350 SRW CC long bed diesel pick up.
Here's a link to the report I wrote on WTW (I hope it's ok to cross post..)...
Great report!
We've been going to the obx for over 30 years but have yet to make it down that far south. Now with the acquisition of our Hallmark camper I think we have the right kit (for us) to do the trip.
Keep up the reports and taking pictures of the kids. They'll be grown up before you know it!
I like your comments about things being different in Morocco!
We have a saying here in the US "You're not in Kansas anymore" referring to the Wizard of Oz movie.
Please post more when you can!
Greta thread as we are going this Saturday to pick up our Hallmark camper and I'm working on how to outfit it.
We recently flew from VA to Death Valley for an 8 day camping trip and my wife knows how badly I need a decent cup (or 2) of good coffee first thing in the am.
She picked up some...
Just a minor correction.
The 6.0 is the last Ford engine that Did Not have any emission control systems like a DPF filter etc.
I agree that it has had its problems but once sorted out it is a great potential overlanding vehicle which is what I am planning on doing...
When we went to CO to look at Hallmark campers they had a showroom model of the one we were looking for. It was an Everest ( 8.5') with the North South bed. It was on the 4 jacks but close to the ground. Matt said it was all right to climb up there and see how if felt which we did without any...
You could use styrofoam panels.
They have an R rating of about 5 per inch and you can easily find them ranging in thickness from 1/2 to 2 inches. You can use a good adhesive to glue them into place.
Thanks for the report. As many times as I have been to the OBX I have never been there. Hopefully I'll rectify that this fall after we get our camper.
As far as the wind is concerned it is almost always windy on the OBX. As was said before when the wind dies down the bugs come out with a vengance!
We'll be picking up our new Hallmark Everest in a few weeks (!) and will be storing it in our shop building when we're not using it.
I want to build some sort of platform to rest the camper on instead of just the 4 jacks and am looking for ideas.
Let's see what you've got!
Thanks.
