Anyone using an GMC AT4 or any other GM pickup for overlanding?

I think the next step up are the new ZR2 Silverado and AT4x Sierra on the Light Duty Trucks, there are rumors that their will be AT4x and ZR2 versions of the Heavy Duty Trucks, and there are further rumors of AEV enhanced versions (like the Colorado Bison) in the works too.

    Bison Diesel is GONE...

That is a '21 concept for the '23 Canyon AT4x and previews what a "Bison" edition would look like. It appears that GM is expanded their relationship with AEV for more vehicles, as there is rumors that there will be AEV/Bison versions of the Silverado ZR2/Sierra AT4x.

21' Silverado 1500 short bed Duramax - Build ideas/Fridge mounting?

Congrats on your Duramax, that 3.0l diesel is an awesome powertrain. I was blown away by it on a test drive. I work for GM, so thanks for your purchase as well, if you need anything let me know. Check out 589fab.com for bumpers and other upgrades, they are small family run shop and started out...

    Overlanding Ovens

I own the Coleman Stove Top Oven, a Camp Chef Deluxe Oven, Camp Chef Professional Oven, and the Omnia. There is a learning curve with all of these products, and some are dependent on your stove and some are limited by the product itself. If I was going to start from scratch I would go with the...

(Bay Area, CA) Chevy Colorado Alucab Explorer Canopy -$2750

It appears from the pics that it's sitting on a crew-cab ZR2, so that was only offered with the 5' bed. the extended cab ZR2 is the only ZR2 with the 6' bed.

    Bison Diesel is GONE...

It's my understanding that the 2023 Colorado/Canyon were originally supposed to go on the T1 (Silverado/Sierra) platform that would of allowed them to use the awesome 3.0 diesel in those vehicles, but that was scraped for a modified version of the existing platform, leaving the diesel to be only...

    New Bronco

I placed my reservation in December 2020, it's very hard to forget about it, but I have been able to not be anxious about when I will get it. Got my original order in on March 2021, then had to change the order in September/October in 2021 as they were no longer offering the color I wanted. More...

Has anyone tried out the new Frontrunner Wolfpack Pro boxes?

Maybe I need to use more force, but I've only been able to open them about halfway when only one side is unlatched. I also don't like the fact that the mechanism they sell to attach them to a roof rack is more than the boxes themself.

Garmin Tread Overland Edition - any users yet?

Happy to help, if you tell you, if you PM me specific areas, I can take screen shots so you can see if they have been updated or not. I still think from what you say, the Garmin Overlander would be better for you, unless you want a bigger screen, I will probably be selling my Overlander at some...

Garmin Tread Overland Edition - any users yet?

I've had it for a few weeks now, and I upgraded from the Garmin Overlander. I really like the big screen and as you can see I'm running it vertically and it's good for that. The only reason I would suggest getting it is if you want the included in-reach ability as being able to type your...

    New Bronco

It rubs me the wrong way, that they are delivering dealer stock when they have over 100,000 in orders that have been waiting over a year long.

Has anyone tried out the new Frontrunner Wolfpack Pro boxes?

So I bought some of the Wolf Pack pros and gave some of them as X-mas presents to some friends. I haven't used them on a trip yet, but I can say they are worth the money and the added weight. Their biggest bonus (air-tight) also is their biggest draw back, as it sometimes makes the lid tough to...

    Stabilizing Jacks-Please help!

I use Ark's XO Drop Down Corner steadies and have been very happy with them on my Xventure trailer. They also make a version that doesn't permanently attach to the trailer too. https://www.arkcorporation.us/products/drop-down-corner-steadies-black-edition

Thoughts on RLD design truck cap/canopy?

The only reason I went with RLD Canopy of the Alu-Cab canopy camper is I wouldn't be able to fit in my garage. Go with what you will use the most and provide the best value to you.

    Aluminum Flat-bed-canopy Colorado Diesel Build

Man, I am mighty impressed of what can come out of "I want to keep 4 mountain bikes clean and secure". But in all honesty I am jealous of your skills and ingenuity and very proud you did this to a diesel ZR2. Keep up the awesome work.

Thoughts on RLD design truck cap/canopy?

I did have it shipped to me, there was no damage at all, you basically have to destroy the "wooden"/masonite box as there are metal edges where the rivet the box together. I wish I had your luck with craigslist, I've got a pile of pallets in my backyard that get chopped up and eventually make...

Thoughts on RLD design truck cap/canopy?

    1. Some dust can get in there, but think about it's placement like the raised air intakes/snorkels you see, the air coming in creates the positive pressure, meaning dust doesn't come in from anywhere else (tailgates are especially leaky. It's the best dust determent by far. I've never used it in...

Thoughts on RLD design truck cap/canopy?

I would say hold out for what you really want, the wait is just the way of the world these days, I ordered my RLD topper in Jan. 2021 and got in Late August/Early September of 2021, so they are spot on for the 8 month wait. There really is no comparison to any other topper, as the RSI is modular...
