Get my 7.3 Ford Excursion Unstuck...

If you had hub issues that combined with highway tires is probably your issue. Seconded that fresh shocks all around should fix your bouncy ride. Hope you've been enjoying the mountain the last two weeks, I am jealous!

Get my 7.3 Ford Excursion Unstuck...

Nope, moved to SLC a few years ago but make it back to the valley often to see friends and the mountains. Hope to get back there for good someday. I have a thing for the old fords too, looks like a good mountain rig! I'm currently running Cooper AT3s on my F250. No problems with them in the...

Get my 7.3 Ford Excursion Unstuck...

Tires will fix your stuck problem more than likely. I would go with duratracs personally, they were my favorite when I lived in Gunni. I also have a set of general grabber AT2s on my montero that are phenomenal in the snow, but know nothing of the E-rated version. Sidebar I drove by your house...

    2001 f350 toyhauler solo sleeper

I dig it! I like hiding all my toys under the shell and out of the weather when I travel. Hate going places with the bikes and leaving em sit on a rack.

Fred the Van. The More We Explore's Adventure Van Build Thread

I would say 7k was a "go away" price. As in, we don't really want to do that job. I would think you could find a competent shop to do it for 2-3k. The person that said to find a big rig shop is on the right track, they could have a big booth.

    FOUND Vans For Sale!

Its a friend of a friend. Based on his facebook post it sounds like he already has a buyer. If it was 6 months from now. I probably would be in my truck on the way to Tucson.

    Running a Stock Rig ???

Another stocker with +1 tires guy here. Good tires and half a brain can get you pretty much anywhere you would wanna go short of true wheeling. Driving around CO and UT you may think you are getting way out there, but then you'll crest the hill and see some local stacking rocks in a suby or 4wd...

Missed this rig until now. Very nice job. I really dig the utility and multisport capability! Would love to have a setup like this some day.

Got my gauges in today. I know Glowshift has some mixed reviews, but they were friendly to my budget. Time will tell if I will regret the decision. I was pretty impressed with the wiring kit and install instructions that were included.

Good call! I put a Riffraff 6637 kit on about a year ago and it made a noticeable difference in boost. I'm also hoping Santa brings me a downpipe this year!

Here are a few pics of the Avion if anyone is interested...we have a queen bed platform set up in the back filling the aisle where the twin beds were. We will be building side boxes for storage sometime this winter if we decide to keep it.

I still have auto hubs, unfortunately. Manual hubs are on my wish list for down the line. Good call, this thing is like a tractor with the 4:10s in low range.

Avion So this fall we have spent a ton of time sprucing up the Avion, learning everything about RVs from construction to plumbing to electrical to fixing leaks, how to winterize, how a 2-way fridge works, and a whole bunch more. I enjoy learning new things so its been fun, with a bit of...

Long time no update... Well, its been quite a while but I have been busy working on the truck and related projects so I figured it was time for an update. Over the past year I seriously considered selling the truck to get something smaller, but in the end with our future being up in the air...
