    I need new boots....

Psuedo Danners -- read the ad closely I was gonna start a new thread with this cautionary tale, but it fits perfectly here. My story is that I buy good boots (Danner Power Foremans) every 10 years or so and they cost $270. That averages $27/toe, maybe a little more for the big ones and a...

How many of use are really prepared to live a long life?

I am going to live forever in spite of myself. I quit smoking hundreds of years ago for parent/kid example reasons (ie not for health reasons). I quit drinking about five years ago for day-to-day happiness reasons [not really for health reasons, but I got to start sleeping inside again ;-) ]...

I am sorry I missed it -- though I had nothing to bring but enthusiasm.

    Northwest MogFest 2009

Mike, Thanks for posting the link to Bill Caid's page. As I look at the human participants, it looks like many are wearing those disposable ID bracelet like you might find a music festival or something. Am I seeing things that aren't there?

    Comparison: 1300, 416, 404, Volvo TGB, Pinz

Thanks, Mike. No specific questions at the moment -- I am a Eurotruck sycophant, and I like to read/think about them in any way, shape, or form. BTW, CamperMog seems to have become e-invisible since you sold her. Any idea where she went? Did you tell the owner about this site?

    Why skinny tires

Yes, you sort of lost me after this part: My everyday condition is steep dirt, either with or without gravel and dry grass on top of it. My experience is that I need to engage 4X4 much more often in my new truck with wide tires than I did in my old truck with skinny little bones. Could be a...

Bump I still don't have anything to add to this conversation, but I look forward to anyone who does. Any lucky ducks out there with experience on multiple platforms that would like to share their observations ?

    Selling Strategy - some thoughts

I don't even know what you're selling, but if I were buying I would find it hard to resist waiting just one more week to see if I might save some more . . . (My sales sense is that you want give people incentive to BUY NOW, where as your plan seems to offer incentives to WAIT.) So I concur...

    1994 Airstream B190 4x4 Class B Mini Motorhome

About Boulder Offroad I clicked around the Boulder Offroad website after oogling the Airstream, and I suggest you other people do the same. Perhaps they are well known to this board already -- if not they should be. (Cool 4x4 Astro, and cool 4X4 class C). Note to Boulder Offroad, if you are...

    1994 Airstream B190 4x4 Class B Mini Motorhome

I am not so sure $40K sounds so bad at all, considering what it is. If you take the generous view that it's an upgrade from a similarly-equipped Sportsmobile, then it does not seem particularly expensive. (Not that I am in the market. This fool and his money have already parted.)

    FS: 2005 Yamaha TW200

Wow That thing is cool. How can they have been around since the 80s and I only became aware NOW? They're like the Trail 90 for the new millennium. Gotta add that to my Must Get list. Good luck with the sale. Lots of info on these gemstones on the advrider site, for those really in the market...

I can see the pix fine, and I think you have a neato base for an offroad camper. Good luck keeping it or selling it. :-)

Hmmmm Very nice. I wonder why it is "very similar to the one pictured here," rather than being the actual one that is pictured there.

My heart is broken Sorrow for myself and the lost opportunity, pleased for you. I hope you mentioned the Portal to the new owner, so we can keep abreast of one of the all-time coolest camping gigs under its new stewardship. By the way, thanks for sharing by posting so much info here and...

Highly capable 416-based Unimog Expedition Motorhome

His & Hers Sprinters Mike, I know you already have the world's coolest Sprinter, but maybe Mrs. Hiscox would accept another one plus cash to get Camper Mog out of your driveway ... My Sprinter has a newly-installed Sportsmobile couch/bed, SMB bank of cabinets, and SMB flooring. (No water...

Close to buying a Mog- what do I need to know?

I spirited this photo from the globetrotters.ch website. Might give you an inkling how a 2450 measures up to a full-size motorhome. I don't know anything about it other than the Mog is enormo.
