Made some progress on the platform. I added a single drawer that i can slide in and out quite easily without being on tracks. I was going to add a smaller one on the other side. I am thinking about going out and buying one more sheet of wood.
It is brand new from ACC (Auto Custom Carpets). The old one was moldy, and had stains of every kind on it rendering it un-usable. This new one is 2x as plush with extra thick padding underneath.
Started building the rear camping platform. It is not done yet, but it is getting there. I still have some pieces to cut but im happy with how it came out.
So I got the visor on the other night. Need to secure the wires behind it, but I am very happy with the look! And i started on the carpet yesterday. Coming along pretty good so far!
Where in AZ are you located? That thing is rad! Check out "bornforadventure" on Instagram...he has an M1010 all decked out for camping and wheeling, I am sure you could get some ideas for your build from him.
I am moving back out to Tucson in a month or so. Cant wait to see how it does with the lift and tires.
Plans are eventually to make it into a rig capable of being off the grid for a few days without needing to run into town for things, unless absolutely nessesary.
