Ready to make larger committment, seeking ideas

Used earth cruiser or i second the ujoint converted rv. Both would work great for you. a $300k dollar rig is simply unnecessary imo.

Good to know, tx BB. Someone else on the Sportsmobile forum echo'ed your comments as well. Maintenance of the rubber and keeping an eye on the bolts on the inside joining the two should be apart of my regular inspections.

Also for anyone interested in this Aluminess Tiger Siberian bumper Aluminess will sell the bumper to installers only. You can not purchase direct as some folks have found out. Contact Agile or another installer to reach out to Aluminess on your behalf. That's what was told to me by John at...

That's good advice BB. I didn't really think i'd want that seem to slip around at all. I wouldnt think the body and cab flexing independently of eachother in this type of rig as a good thing as it really is a unibody design.

Tx BB! The center of gravity is very good in this rig all considering. Certainly the pop top threw that off a bit but we had the vehicle pretty well pitched and my buddy who own a sprinter 4x4 said he didn't think his rig would have performed as well. All in all an excellent afforable...

We had more space than we knew what to do with. I really need to begin putting effort into kitting up the storage sides so gear isn't just scattered around. I'll start with the awning/kitchen side of the vehicle first. It really is a great platform for loads of adventure hobbies.

From my research the TTB is a great choice for trail running, snow, and medium duty 4x'ing. Theres a lot of write ups that will do far better justice explaining this than i will but the independent'esque conversion drives better on hwy and absorbs bumps offroad with less transfer to the ride...

Ok, making progess. Here are a few pics of the vehicle as it stands today. There are a few interior shots showing the upper shelf cut out I had Agile do to make the beginnings of the bed platform. That shelf sits about waist high. On that shelf currently you will see the Darche 270 awning still...

The Siberian bumper is officially mounted and ready for action. The vehicle is on the ground, driving, and getting it's fine tuning. I'll be taking it into Colorado Camper Van sometime in February. Mark at CCV has been helpful, responsive, and patient with my many newb questions. Couple pics....

THis 10" fiberine hard top looks like it could be a good fit. FOr anyone with experience does this seem like it could be a possible pairing onto the top of the service body? http://fiberine.com/GVMR/10%22_Tops.html

So on the fence regarding getting a poptop on this rig? Any thoughts? CCV said they could do it. My concern is their quality and customer service as of late. Has there been any change regarding that someone might share? MG metalworks ever bring a top to the market? As the van is already...
