Don't have a good view, but here are some pics. I had a pelican case, two scepter cans of water, privy, gas, shovel and an axe. This allowed me to sleep in the jeep... which was good as it rained most of the nights.
That medical chest is close to 50lbs I think. A similar sized pelican I think would be of the same weight.

Klaus.. Do you mean you don't like the tubes running from the bottom of the frame to the top of the jeep? I only have the soft top, the rack allows me to go topless as it pivots.

Here are some pics. Note that I pull the rack up sometimes to let the fabric stretch at those points so that it does not get permanently marked with the pool noodle pressing on it.
