    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

CB Install I finally got my Cobra 75 wired directly to the battery. I read on CB forums that this helps reduce squelch and increase range. If this doesn't help then I will wire to my WFRB. Anyways, I feel like I should have went VHF. Anyone else disappointed in their CB?

Rose Valley The last day trip we did this weekend was to Rose Valley which is in between Ojai and Lockwood Valley on Highway 33. This area offers a nice swimming hole in the Sespe River, Waterfalls, and a very scenic drive. Here is a picture of the swimming hole. It is deep enough that you can...

I went out to Quatal Canyon for the day. This is a easy trail that offers sand washes and red clay that you can drive on. You can...

    what to do?

On my 2015 and on my brand new 2017 with less than 1000 miles they would reach the 3/4 mark on the temp gauge when doing big climbs in 100 degree weather. Usually it will pull itself down after a minute or two. If your Jeep isn't overheating I wouldn't worry about it yet.

I am planning on going to a bumper mount, I just have to make one. Why did you get rid of your rack? I thought about getting rid of mine, but I have a lot attached to it now. However, the 2mpg drop from having it is problematic.

    2015 Jeep JKU Expedition Build

Exterior Here you can see the gobi rack, arb awning, hard rock bumper, rock rails, and winch bumper. The hardest install was the gobi rack, having two people makes it so much easier. Here is a review of the Ace Engineering Rock Sliders. I will be making a video of the ARB awning this...

    2015 Jeep JKU Expedition Build

Rubicon Interior I enjoy driving this Jeep so much more than my last jeep. I didn't have power windows, or lock in my 2015. This new Rubicon has the Uconnect touch screen, slush mats, and a power inverter built in. The inverter is so useful for charging camera equipment and anything else you...

    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

I have a first aid kit under the seat, but am planning on buying another torx bit socket set for my road bag. I am looking at getting some kind of mount for my DSLR, usually my passenger holds it which is why it is bouncy.

Ace Engineering Rock Sliders Review Here is a review of my Ace Engineering Sliders. I bought these on craigslist for $200 from a guy who was selling his Rubicon. They aren't super heavy, but they are pretty stout. I have hit them a couple times and they haven't crumbled yet.

    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

Jeep Rubicon-Salt Creek Trail Decided to take the Jeep out for a 2nd time this weekend. I had a lot of fun getting to know what the Rubicon was capable of. Unfortunately the bugs were fierce and numerous so we weren't able to get a lot of out of car shots.

Jeep Lights Here you can see the difference between Jeep's factory LED's and my aftermarket lights. If you buy a JK definitely get the LED's. My 2015 had terrible lights and made my KC lights and Light bar look like God's gift to night driving. I also attached pictures of how I have everything...

    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

Jeep Rubicon-Cherry Creek Trail Took my new Jeep Rubicon on its maiden voyage. I accidentally took a wrong turn and ended up on a easier trail, but all in all it was a fun day to the bottom of Cherry Creek. This is an easy trail, but it offers some nice scenery. I only needed to use 4x4 a...

    2017 Jeep JKU Rubicon Build/Adventures

I am super glad that my father, brother, and friends drilled it into my head not to let the Jeep go with all the upgrades on it. The upgrades add up quicker than you think and are difficult to repurchase. For instance, the Gobi rack was $1500 and the awning was around $300, $500 in winch and...
