Okie can’t speak to the stealth but had the alu cab for the last year. It’s a very well made user friendly tent I was super happy with it. Not sure if you are in Oklahoma or not but mine will be on my truck for a few more days before it goes to its new owner you are welcome to come check it out...
Sorry everyone for my lack of responses sale pending on the alu cab but the baroud is still for sale.
Morgan I really liked the horizon as a soft tent it’s very light weight and compact, the cover is really easy on off compared to other soft tents and I feel like it is well made.
I'm using my ground tent more and more so I'm going to shed some weight and sell both of my RTT's.
Baroud Horizon Vision
Had for a couple years was on my truck for a year and has been in my garage for the last year. Not great condition some mold, cover about a 3" tear on a trip patched with...
Gazelle T3 will hold a standard size cot that’s my solo set up. Solo I do a standard cot and chair in it and at 5’9” I can just barely stand up in it. Like all instant tents it’s bulky and slightly heavier than your requirements but it’s a breeze to set up and standing room for me is a game changer.
I haven’t used mine in a year switched to the Alu cab but I used mine hard for a year and a half stayed outside and on the truck full time. I would say for the most part it’s a good tent had a few small issues some wear, some mold a few things that could be made better but all in all I would...
I'm 5'9" and I love my Alu Cab wouldn't own any other rtt but do not buy any clamshell style tent without trying it out first at 6'6". The overall dimensions of the mattress doesn't tell the whole story you need to throw a couple pillows up there flip and flop around and see if it will actually...
Off the shelf Leitner designs rack is what you are looking for but pricey. I'm sure all pro or cbi can make one to cab height or others. After having a steel bed rack on my tacoma for a year I will stick with strictly aluminum from now on weight and rust is an issue with steel. You will likely...
I'm using the 30" megamat mainly solo but I have a duo and can try and stuff it up there and see if it fits. My guess is it won't the mattress on the alu cab rtt kind of tucks under a lip but it might and I need to find out in case I ever need to sleep two up there. The canopy camper could be...
Tsnider mine's been on my Tacoma full time always outside in the midwest for a year I've had very little issue. I took out the mattress and threw in a megamat or my cot in the summer. Any issues I've had have been from me putting the tent away wet and not airing out or throwing something up...
Had a bed rack with my soft tent and now have topper with my hard tent plus awning. I would never want to wrestle with the cover and closing up a soft tent on top of a canopy rather have a ground tent but the downside to a lower bed rack set up is loss of annex and no good awning solution. The...
I carry an 18v sawzall like jeep n Montero the batteries are useful for a lot of other 18v tools I carry and the sawzall is great for firewood and small log cutting. Versatile, smaller foot print less weight.
The soft tents have the same Velcro bottom on each door. Windows have single zippers. The Velcro never really bothered me the zippers on the doors did.
No solar fan or lights in the soft fold over models. Only remember condensation being really bad once so I would say no real issues. I'm going to describe this poorly and a picture would help but there is a protective mat that clips in and protects the ceiling.
Exposure is an issue just like...
I used one for 2 years just bought an alu cab rtt. The horizon vision was a terrific soft sided folding tent if you have any specific questions I would be happy to answer. I used an abused mine it's compact, light, easy to set up and well made. I think Barroud's covers for their soft tents are...
Would be happy to. Not a lot of real user reviews on this exact setup and seen some already for sale so a little concerning but I've wanted it since the day I learned about it a few years ago. The tent is heavy my guess is out of the 3 it's the 1 I could live without but I do love it and ease of...
I've only had mine a couple of weeks so far it's rock solid I have the gen 3 tent and shadow awn on it. It's my first cap/canopy so nothing to compare it to and I haven't had it very long anyway. It does only sit on half the bed rails but it seems sealed well only time will tell. Agree with the...
