Awning (Foxwing) mounting with RTT (James Baroud) overhang

My setup is similar but not quite as much overhang as you. I also am running a Rhino Rack Pioneer rack, Foxwing and JB. I used the ARB/TJM foxwing awning brackets mounted to my Rhino Rack. Also a couple spacers between the brackets and the rack to set the proper height. These brackets may not be...

Looking For A Very Long RTT

Yes the Grand Raid is 89" and the mattress goes the very edge of the inside walls. Being honest though, at 6'10", sitting up might be a problem.

Where is everyone getting their cans

I dropped by DS Tactical last year on our way home from Whistler and talk about Drooool! Picked up a couple red MFC 20L cans and a blue MWC as well as some lid straps and gaskets. That's the only way I know of getting new Scepter MFCs in the US. I've seen a lot of used MFC cans for sale here tho.

Drifta Drawer Style Build (Toyota Prado 120/ Lexus GX470)

Thanks so much for the inspiration GXWagon! I used this thread for some of the tools and supplies needed also. I busted the drawers out in 3 days before our big Utah trip and sooo glad I did. They made things so much easier than using containers in back and I increased storage too. I still have...

Drifta Drawer Style Build (Toyota Prado 120/ Lexus GX470)

Look forward to following you. I'm pretty much in the same boat and told myself since I couldn't get a Drifta setup I'd give it a shot at doing it myself. No slides, no fancy bits. Hoping to buy supplies in a week or so. Did you buy everything from Home Depot? What's your final layout gonna...

    Security of the RTT

My tent is mounted pretty close to my roof and also on each bolt mounting the tent to the roof rack I have 4 lock nuts on each. i figure it would take a long time to unscrew all 32 nuts to remove the rack and it's pretty tight in there to attempt to cut off the bolts. My roof rack is attached to...

    **Tepui RTTs and Accessories**

I've been impressed with the Thermarest SoLite foam sleeping pads that I put in my Autana. I taped them down to the floor between the floor and mattress. I used to get steady water droplets under the mattress every night but since putting those pads in I've seen ZERO moisture under the mattress...

Sure-Fire Ways to Improve Your Roof Top Tent

Just read thru all 56 pages figuring I would have seen something for leveling accuracy. We have used these levels on two sides of our Tepui Autana and it's easily the simplest thing to do to set the truck level and sleep flat every time. Also, Thermarest Ridgerest Solite sleeping pads...

    Tepui Tent RTT

Hey guys, we've had our Tepui for a few years now and slept in it many, many nights. Usually my wife, me and my 3 year old. It's an Autana and we were looking around for mattress pads to complement the regular 2" pad and also find something to act as a vapor barrier. The mattress is quite...

    RTT Security, Locking to Bedrack

8 mounting bolts from the tent to the rack x 5 lock nuts on each bolt = a looong time turning a wrench especially if it's a tight fit. Then locktite on my gutter mount bolts, gives me some piece of mind.

    What makes Tepui Tents different?

Nice! Poison Spider is probably a bit too gnarly for me though. Think we signed up for Fins or Dome Plateau that day. Either way it's gonna be sick.

    What makes Tepui Tents different?

Got a Tepui Autana for my 80 back in October and am glad I did. Sort of the obvious choice when I live a few miles from the warehouse in Santa Cruz :) (Can't drive around town more than 5 minutes without seeing one.) It comes down to the people and the passion and I think Tepui has that. They...
