I received this email the other day, when I checked online the website said they were backordered. Since there were 2 available, maybe they just don't update the status. If interested, you may want to try calling CTD to see if they're available.
Be sure to check the reviews before...
43 quarts. Great deal if you get a scratch n' dent or open box unit.
Unfortunately we had to get rid of ours because it was TOO big for our tiny 4runner
Keep your Taco
Sounds like you've made up your mind, but here's my .02 anyways
I love my first gen. 4Runner, even as a daily driver (I have IFS)...but for the next vehicle, I'll get an extended cab pickup. There's just so much more you can do with them without having to go crazy hacking...
Great bumper CYi5!
Does that make any noise on washboards when it's mounted thru the clevis? I'd love to see more pictures...a closeup of the clevis mount and how it latches would be great!
I've been brainstorming something like this for a while. I'd also rather keep my spare under the...
I saw something the other day that had me thinking...Swing away wheelchair/scooter carrier. There's several designs out there, but you get the picture.
Just have a custom rear bumper fabbed up that has a receiver hitch, then have some racks or jerry can carriers welded to the swing away arm...
Sounds like your transmission's demise was a blessing! (aside from the financial setback of course)
Now you have me thinking we need at least one month in every country...to keep the overlanding gods happy of course.
wow, great trip...subscribed!
Looks like an incredible trip! If you guys end up passing thru Texas, you can stay at our place in Austin. I'll PM you contact info just in case
I find it a little sad...even though you're here to "discover, share & inspire" (on a forum that's dedicated to that exactly), there's always going to be a band of arm-chair quarterbacks & folks who can't stand the fact that you're doing what they deem impossible. Unfortunately you'll continue...
wow this is an old thread, BajaRunner you should start by checking out 4Crawler's website...you'll find tons of other info you realize you needed.
As an alternative to relocating the ECU to the glovebox, you may be able to mount the ECU under your dash pad
this thread got me all inspired to finally restoring my 2 quart Bayou Classics Dutch Oven, so I brought it to work to take advantage of an oven to season it. Here I am halfway thru the process (using vegetable oil unfortunately) and now I read this...
I wish I would've rechecked this thread...
Sorry, I couldn't honestly tell you. It's my first dutch oven so I don't have anything to compare it to.
I haven't used it yet either. I cleaned the hell out of it since it was a little funky and I still need to season it.
I do really like its size and the fact that it's fairly compact...no...
I had the same dilemma, looking for something without legs and a lip for coals on the lid...surprising that Lodge doesn't make that combo. I ended up just finding a Bayou Classic on Craigslist that fit the criteria...still haven't finished seasoning it, but since it was technically free (I...
I'd like to see more too. I've been curious about welding plastic for a while...we have a bunch of plastic welded trays and boxes in our truck compartments at work. They do an amazing job of organizing items and keeping large heavy objects strapped down. Seems fairly lightweight and sturdy...
Details?
I can't wait to hear more about the more exciting alternatives! Sailing thru the San Blas Islands sounds incredible, but a water taxi is on my "list" for Central & South America!
FWIW, before all the woodworkers go out and buy a 1st gen 4runner, notice that this is after removing the rollbar! Pretty difficult cramming a full sheet of plywood in the back with the rollbar still in there
